How long before the wedding did you start your diets?
also...
Were you able to jump right in & start a whole new dieting routine, or did it take time for you to actually 'get into it'??

Re: For those dieting for the 'BIG DAY'
wow that diet seems pretty crazy, so the other days you eat whatever you want?? Is there any variation or you have to eat exactly what it says there?

OMG, I would die on that diet. It would never ever fill me. I love WW because I just eat what I want and just count the points. I never go to bed hungry.
Let me tell you.... For the last two days i couldn't even eat the icecream...and that's my weakness. i was soooo full and content

I'm watching what I eat and exercising now. I've been noticing some weight dropping off already, so it's giving me incentive to do more.

Re: For those dieting for the 'BIG DAY'
I'm getting married in April.......I NEED TO LOSE AT LEAST 10 PDS!
I'm so not motivated.....I'm a member to ballys but don't go and I don't eat too bad....I know that the only way I'll lose weight is if I go to the gym! Any levittown bally members out there that can force me to go!

Re: For those dieting for the 'BIG DAY'
I started at New Year's. I switched from bread to wraps for sandwichs at lunch. I'm eating more fruit and salads - no putting dressing on meats, etc. I'm grilling meats, not frying or baking them - etc. Plus, I'm starting Pilates in one week! YAY!

Re: For those dieting for the 'BIG DAY'
I started at the beginning of January and I've lost 20 lbs as of this past weekend. I'm not really following any particular diet just really watching what I'm eating, working out 5 days/week, and not eating after 8pm. Also cut out junk food except for once per week. It was difficult at first but once it became part of my routine and I started seeing results, I've been able to stick wth it.

With 12 weeks to go before my first fitting I am starting now. I want to lose about 15 pounds but I can't do the low carb thing. So I am drinking more water during the day to keep me full, making healthier food choices, and I am going to try to exercise most nights after work. I usually 'cheat' at night so if I could divert my attention and exercise instead of eat at night, that in itself should make a huge difference.

Re: For those dieting for the 'BIG DAY'
I can testify to the fact that as you get closer to your wedding, the lbs start dropping off you.
I have been to gym maybe 2x in the last 2 weeks, and I have dropped 3lbs. Why? Because I am running around so much, that I barely eat anything (and when I do its half of what I normally would eat) and I'm getting more exercise than normal in just walking everywhere.
I didn't expect to drop 3lbs, but somehow I did!! So now my first fitting is my motivation. Then after that will be Vegas next month as my motivation, and then the wedding!!

Re: For those dieting for the 'BIG DAY'
I'm not on a diet, but for some reason I lost some weight this past year. Like others say, stress, running around etc. Unfortunately I still crave sweets...so for lent . I am giving up all sweets. Usually I give up chocolate only, but this year I am going to give up all sweets period.

Yea what is the 3 day diet?
I've been doing a modified WW diet since January & lost 22 lbs so far, but have about 30 to go. I also allow myself to cheat totally 1 day.
I was able to get right into it b/c I set my mind on it. Although I have not begun the exercise part yet (I'll start rollerblading/walking & my Denise Austin tummy workout once the weather gets nicer).
COngrats to you keep up the good work

Re: For those dieting for the 'BIG DAY'
I'm with you, I completely gained weight during my engagement! I felt like every time I turned around it was another celebration and it's not like me to refuse my wine!
I'm hoping to lose 8-10lbs over the next 2 months. If it doesn't happen, I won't be devastated but it would be nice!!!
