For those dieting for the 'BIG DAY'

Original post by SIBride06

How long before the wedding did you start your diets?

also...

Were you able to jump right in & start a whole new dieting routine, or did it take time for you to actually 'get into it'??

I started early- b/c I was unhappy any way

I have a few tips-

drink alot of water- otherwise you retain water- yuck- I just bought a water bottle at target for $2 that is all the water you are suppose to drink in 1 day-

and eating right is more important then working out- I used to cheat and just work out- not so good

Right now i'm doing the three day diet. i know that I'll be having showers, bachelorette parties, luncheons, etc., so this diet is best for me because I'm only on it Tues, Wed, and Thurs.

i LOVE this diet!!!

I'm with you, I completely gained weight during my engagement! I felt like every time I turned around it was another celebration and it's not like me to refuse my wine!

I'm hoping to lose 8-10lbs over the next 2 months. If it doesn't happen, I won't be devastated but it would be nice!!!

jeez-we are really rowing the same boat...we can support each other!

I used to be a personal trainer (one of my MANY professions... LOL) and you're 100% correct on this!!! A lot of people tend to let themselves have 'treats' or splurges' because they think 'hey I worked out today...' It's important to do both, but many people do one or the other, if your going to pick one or the other, than eating healthy is more important. That 1/2 hour on the bike won't get rid of the 12 hours of eating bad...

Re: For those dieting for the 'BIG DAY'

I don't really want to lose that much weight, but I still have a bit of a pregnancy belly (I look like I'm 3 months pregnant). I've been doing crunches for the past month, but I don't see any change yet. I can't really diet seriously because I'm still weening my son off of breastfeeding. I want him weened within a month 'cause I really don't want to be breastfeeding at my wedding.

Anyone got any ideas for me?
