For those doing donation favors

are you giving it to your guests as they leave or have it at thier place setting?

I donated to St. Judes and they gave us bookmarks, so I had them placed into the napkins

I think I'm going to buy some pretty paper from Michaels, print the message that a donation has been made, and then put it in a picture frame on the place card table.

I don't love the idea of a scroll on each place setting...it's a waste of paper and they might make the table look messy once everbody opens them.

I'm printing the message out on paper that matches my invites and wrapping it up like a scroll and tying it with a ribbon. It'll be placed on each place setting. Similar to this picture

i got business cards from vistaprint.com and typed out the donation message. i'm going to attach them with a pretty ribbon to personlized matchbooks and sparklers (i'm 7/3)....each placesetting will have a set...i've been to a lot of weddings with the picture frames (they are cute, i'm just trying to be different!!!)

we are printing reception newsletters and it saids it in there.

we are giving them a tangible favor too (a cd we are making).

we are also going to have the DJ say something, we think

We did donations, and I wanted to put something at each plate, so I printed out cards and then attached them to card stock, then hole punched and tied them to little organza bags of M&M's in our colors. They were put at each setting, and I think it looked really cute. It was a bit time consuming, but it was important to us that everyone knew about the donations, and were afraid if we waited until the en of the night, many people wouldn't know. We had Livestrong bracelets to give out at the end and a lot of people didn't get them bc they left through the gardens at Venetian Hour instead of walking back through the room. Anyway, The card said

In lieu of a favor
we have made donations to the following charities:
The Make a Wish FOundation
American Cancer Society

Thank you for helping us make someone else's
life a 'little sweeter'!

And our names/dates

We also had a table where we put the framed 'posters' the places sent us, mixed in with pics of us and our card box
