Are you going to decorate it? I know I will only be in my church for like 45min but I just always dreamed of candles and bows and ribbons on the pews.
I want it to look beautiful, anyone else doing this????

my church is huge- but its a gorgeous church with all icons and muralsand gold designs- i dont want to take away from the beauty of the church itself so im just having two basket arrangements in the front possibly rose petals along side the runner and thats it

i was originally just gonna put some bows on the pews and have an aisle runner, but no flowers to save some $$$. my mom freaked when she heard this and said we must have flowers for G-d in the church when we get married. so i guess we will have it decorated some.

Not sure, maybe just flowers. There is a million other things to do in the 10 months I have to plan - so if there is time

My mom is decorating it, well having her fridnd to it, some tulle & bows, check first , alot of chruchs dont allow candle s or rose petals, some insurance reason,

I haven't figured that out yet I have no idea! Probably something simple at the altar. I know I don't want to do the pew bows and I'm not sure if we can use rose petals in the church yet.

I will also have 2 baskets - one with the programs, and the other with the rose petals.

My church is very plain an ugly...I wanted to actually go to another church but decided not to since I had all my other sacraments there.
Anyway...as for decorating I am doing to large basket arrangements at the front and for the first ten pews im doing toole poofs (thats what the florist called them) with rose petals inside.

We are doing like 10 pew bows in all. We have two alter arrangements. That's it though nothing fancy.

not so sure. I am sure pew bows, maybe a floral arrangement by the Blessed Mother statue. I hadn't really thought much about it .. until now!

lol I know what you mean Jen! I'm getting married there too but luckily my wedding is the weekend after Easter so the church will already be decorated with tons of flowers. I am going to do something simple for the frong pews though.

I'm just going to to two arrangements at the alter and pew bows - i don't want to go crazy b/c we wont be there that long. There also may be some flowers already at the alter b/c its right after easter.

two floral arrangements for the altar, some pew bows and that's it. ... the church is quite pretty, so why mess with it. I will also have some nice baskets for my programs.

and I am also getting married there!! I was told they would still be decorated for Christmas. . . if not I dont really care. . .I am only doing a 30 minute ceremony so I won't be decorating at all - just flowers to be presented to Mary!
PS - i dont think its ugly just plain!!

I'm having my florist go ALL out!!! He is going to have two HUGE (like 7 feet tall) candelabras at the center on either side-- in the center, spiraling downward will be all roses/hydrangeas going down the center and a big ball at the top of flowers. Each candelabra holds about 12-15 pillar candles-- so he's going to light all of them!!! I really can't wait to see it all done up-- then he is doing each pew, a ball of hydrangeas going ALL the way back with tulle!! I'm just so excited. We are having a mass so I wanted it to be decorated nice.

I'm just having 2 altar pieces. We're not allowed to have aisle runners or anything hanging over the end of the pews.
I wish I could decorate it!

Yes we will definitely decorate it. I want bows on the pews and stuff. I didnt' book a florist but I have to speak with them and figure everything out.

Fortunately, it will be Christmas time so our church will already be decorated. I am adding something to the pews though.

Are you sure you are not talking about my mom
Same thing I figured their will still be plenty of flowers on the alter, my wedding is two weeks after Easter I went this year and checked the flowers were still there at least 3 weeks after. So I tell my mom I don't think we need any for the church and I though for a moment she was struck by lightening, I had become her biggest disappointment, the pews MUST be decorated!!!!
