For those having ceremony and reception in the same place

are you getting limos? If not how are you getting to your reception hall?

I am staying at a hotel up the road from the Watermill but I am starting to get concerned about how me and the bridal party are actually going to get there. I can't picture fitting in a car very well.. Also can I even get a limo this late??

What is everyone else doing?

I booked and paid my limos less than a week before my wedding. Sir Oliver

They were amazing and upgraded me from two 8 person limos to a 10 and a stretch hummer!

I did get married & have reception at the same place, but my dress barely fit in the limo - I cant imagine a car! I also wanted my whole bridal party there together on time. It was great for photos, and we needed to get to the photo location before the wedding.

I seriously recommend Sir Oliver. They were beyond perfect!

I'm getting married at the Watermill but not getting a Limo. It's in the morning and my brother lives down the road so I didn't see the point.

My ceremony and reception were at the same hall. I did hire a limo, but to save money - I hired someone local who has a limo business. My BP was small so we only needed one limo.

I'm not having limos. I'm OOT, so I'm getting ready at the bridal suite in JT. I'll just bring my dress in the car. We're staying at the Wingate most likely, only a few mins away from JT, so the drive won't be long.

ETA: bought my dress in Ny, so no long drive from MD with the dress!

Re: For those having ceremony and reception in the same place

we are having both our ceromony and reception at the same place and i am still not sure what our limo plans will be. i think what we are going to do is have a limo pick me and my bm's and mom up from my sisters house where we'll be getting ready and take us to the aquarium. my fi and gm and his parents will drive themselves there (this way all the guys will have their cars there to drive the girls home after). i am concerned about everyone in the bp arriving on time for pics. i am not sure if i will havea limo or car to take us to our night of hotel or if we'll just drive there (its like 2 mins from aquarium). we will look into sir oliver and royalty. good luck! ~lacey

no limos for us either. I am from NYC but getting marrried in New Rochelle. I am spending the night at a hotel in New Rochelle. Will have my hair and make up done at the hotel and will get dresses at the bridal suite at my reception hall. :)

I wound up booking limos about a month before the wedding. We were hoping to save money there, but it just wasn't going to work. We all got ready at a hotel and the limos picked us up to take pictures at the Planting Fields and then take us to the hall.

i was thinking of having one limo pick the boys up, drop them off, then come and get all of us girls... problem is, how does everyone get home then?? Do you usually have the limos wait there until the end of the night to take everyone home after the reception??

most of my guys had a date or wife who drove seperately to the wedding and drove home with them or a family member.

We aren't planning limos either and I too am starting to panic. I plan to dress at the ceremony/reception site so getting there shouldn't be a big deal since I'll be in jeans, but it's after the party that I keep thinking about!
