For those having Sunday night weddings. Help me feel better???
Original post by jandm
Hi Ladies,
Our wedding is on a Sunday night, ending at midnight and recently I started thinking about how I'd feel on my wedding day if a lot of guests starting leaving early????
Any other Sunday night brides that can lift my spirts by sharing that ... it is what it is ... and although some will leave early ... a lot will stay till the end?? (At least that's what I keep telling myself!!!)

I gave a lot of thought to this too but now I'm ok with it. I never leave a wedding early and if somebody wants to, fine. However, don't expect me to give kind farewells because I'll be DANCING!! That's the only time I'll be bummed...I don't want to spend the remainder of my wedding kissing people goodbye and if your guests see you having fun hopefully they too will want to...that's why I never want to leave. Don't worry about this!!

I bet that people are going to take the next day off so they can have fun and stay until the end. And even if they don't, I bet they'll be having so much fun they won't leave! Make sure you have great music, and I doubt it will be a problem. Some people will leave early, but then some people will leave early on a Friday or Saturday night, they're just not night owls. Don't worry about them.
I'm having a Sunday afternoon wedding. Yeah, it might seem a bit odd at first to be dancing on a Sunday afternoon, but it's a wedding--people will get into the spirit and have a great time. I can't wait. (Yes I can, I have too much yet to do....)
Don't worry about it, really. It will be a fabulous event.
I went to a sunday afternoon wedding and it was fun. It took a few minutes for people to warm up but then we started dancing and in the end I really loved the idea and have been suggesting it to others!!

I had mine on a Sunday night, and I had very few people leave early. You won't even notice people leaving. You will be too busy dancing and talking to guests. The people really close to you always stay to the end anyway. Stop worrying!!!!

I think Sunday night is a great option We had a Thursday night wedding
It was Thursday night or Sunday at 11 a.m. which was the last open date available the weekend we wanted. DH refused to have a Sunday afternoon wedding.
Our ceremony was at 6 p.m. and only one guest missed the ceremony since he got stuck in traffic on the drive from OOT. The people that want to attend your wedding will be there and they will stay until the last song. We had an after party at the hotel and guests stayed with us until like 2 a.m.
