For those having Sunday night weddings. Help me feel better???
Hi Ladies,
Our wedding is on a Sunday night, ending at midnight and recently I started thinking about how I'd feel on my wedding day if a lot of guests starting leaving early????
Any other Sunday night brides that can lift my spirts by sharing that ... it is what it is ... and although some will leave early ... a lot will stay till the end?? (At least that's what I keep telling myself!!!)

mine is a sunday nite wedding - and ive been to sunday nite weddings - i went to a sunday nite wedding and it ended at 11 - i left at 1030 (i worked in south jersey then) and I was the first to leave.
My wedding ends at 11 too - and i figure the handful of OOTs I have will leave after the cake, but if people leave at 1015/1030 i wont care. there will be pleanty of people there till the end!

do NOT worry about this!! ppl who want to celebrate with you--WILL stay...and that's what is important!
i am having a sunday DAYTIME wedding, and i felt like 'ppl aren't gonna have a good time cause it's not at nite, and won't come to the ceremony cause it's early' ya know what? i got over it, cause i know that my guests will have a GREAT TIME! as will yours!

I am a Sunday bride! My/Your good friends will take off the next day and party with you until the very end! Don't fret!

I went to a Sunday night wedding over the summer. It seemed like almost all the guests stayed close to the end.

I am having a Sunday night Wedding with the added VH, but will end at 11pm. Your friends will stay. I think some of our friends will stay at the hotel were we are staying.

I went through this also....I freaked out like a month ago and wanted to change the whole thing. But all the above posters are right...I have never left a Sunday night wedding early and 2 of my favorite weddings were on sunday night. That put me at ease. Everythign will be great!

my brother had a Sunday wedding in Manhattan ( most of the guests were from Queens) they practically had to kick us out at midnight LOL no one wanted to leave - the only people who left early (11:30) were the old non relatives like my mom's friends
no worries! i have nightmares no one will show up at my wedding bc it will be too cold!

I was freaking out about pretty much the same thing. My wedding is a sunday afternoon. And someone else posted 'Will they have fun even if it's not nite?' YES! I have been to weddings on sunday night and afternoons!! I always had fun. I always danced!! And everyone enjoyed themselves!! I wouldn't worry because they are going so they can celebrate with you!

my wedding was on a sunday night and ended at 12:30 - NOT a single guest left earlier than 12!

My reception was on a Saturday night from 6pm-midnight, some people left early (older relatives mainly or people who didn't book a hotel room for the night who lived far). Others had to be asked to leave by the maitre d after they started taking down the room.
People will leave early if they are going to leave early regardless of what day of the weekend it is. All that matters is that you have fun.

honestly--- people would be more than likely to plan a day off after the wedding if they have enough notice-- so I wouldnt worry...
A friend of mine got married on a Thursday, and she was worried.. about people not being there b/c it was a work night-- and bottom line is-- the people who want to be there will, and let me tell you NO ONE LEFT!!! try not to worry :)

True. Our wedding was on a Fri nt. We have a lot of friends/relatives with babies who had to leave early. AND people who had work/school on Sat who had to leave early. There's no avoiding it.
I've also heard of ppl leaving even Sat afternoon weddings early b/c they had plans for the night!
So try not to fret!

One of my best girlfriends got married on a Sunday night and her reception did not end until 12:00AM. I was in the wedding party and I stayed until the end. I took a vacation day on Monday b/c I knew I would be getting home late.
My wedding is on a Friday night and does not end until 1:30AM. I have no doubt in my mind that the older folks will be going home earlier than this as they will be very tired. i would not worry about your wedding ending so late.

Don't sweat the details. It'll be an awesome party - and no one will care what day of the week it is or what time it ends!

Mine was on a Sunday and there were so many people dancing with us til the very end...honestly when the first people starting leaving I got upset (I think it was the alcohol in me ) BUT I got over it! We had a great wedding!
