If your looking for a charity to donate to, check out www.oprah.com then go to Oprah Angel Network then charities seen on the show then charities and volunteer organizations mentioned on the OWS. It has so many wonderful organizations to give to! Have tissues handy, some of the descriptions made me cry:( We want to donate to a children's charity preferably in NY, so if anyone has any ideas of needy places/charities let me know. My sister donated to make a wish foundation and they sent her a description of the child she helped and what they did for her. She had it framed at the reception so everyone could see it. It was very nice.

We are thinking about making a donation rather then favors. Any ideas of how to let your guests know what you did...the make wish foundation was a nice idea..any others??? Thanks

For those of you using donations instead of favors

Most places either send yu scrolls or tent cards for the table. Make a wish sent scrolls to give out. We are donating to the American Diabetes Assoc, and they give tent cards, but we are going to make scrolls of what their tent card says and put them out instead. Call and ask what charity you are interested in what they usually do for wedding donations.
