Ivory gowns...what was ur reason for choosing Ivory?

I'm so happy I found this post!

I am starting next weekend to look at dresses, and most of what I've found in the mags that I liked was ivory. I have very pale skin and can only imagine how ghostly I'll look in bright white!

I mentioned this to my FMIL and she tells me that ivory is only for 2nd weddings. Ugh! I tried explaning to her how popular ivory dresses have become ....

Funny thing is that I thought the same thing that your mom was telling you thats why I posted this. I wasnt too sure if Ivory was just for 2nd marriages or if you could wear just because u like it

I pikced an ivory dress for 2 reasons--I prefer ivory on me & my dress came in 2 options Ivory w/gold or white w/silver--- I REALLY loved the one with gold accents. The choice was made.

It definately wasn't my plan, it was just that the first 7 white gowns I tried on didn't agree with my skin tone I guess.

My gown just looked better in ivory. I am irish and german and have white, white skin-yes I will breakdown and go tanning before the wedding-but I only get a light tan.
