Did you go through a travel agent of did you book on your own via the internet? Which is better? Cheaper?

I went through a travel agent. Dont know if it was more expensive but it was sooooo easy! They do all the work!

we originally spoke to a travel agent but she was very pushy, unhelpful, didn't listen to what we wanted and was rude and obnoxious. we ended up booking ourselves through travelocity and the sandals website to take advantage of a special. the travel agent then called to harass me, yell at me when i told her we booked ourselves, and i put her number in my cell so i could ignore her calls.

I booked through LIberty Travel. It was quick and painless and I got a great deal!

We kind of used a low-budget TA. We booked ours through Go2africa.com with Lianne. A co-worker of mine used Mia. They were great. We changed our itinerary a ton of times and they were very accomodating. (well I should say he changed our itinerary since the HM is his job)
We're headed to South Africa and Mauritius.

I booked through a travel agent - not sure it would've been cheaper but I didn't really have the time to do research on hotels and excursion packages. Time is money sometimes.

I booked our honeymoon to Greece through a TA. I normally book our vacations through the internet but I felt that b/c we wanted to go to several islands in Greece we should book through a TA. I guess it really depends on where you are going but you can buy insurance with any vacation package even if you do book online through expedia or travelocity.
