For those of you who bought your dress at Macy's Bridal in Manhasset--How long...

...did it take for your dress to arrive? I am deciding between a Marisa and a Demetrios dress and am getting married In july 2003. The saleswoman (who was so sweet) said that they write the wedding date two months earlier than the actual date so this brings us to mid May. Would it really arrive with in 4-5 months? Thanks!

Not sure about Marisa's gown, but I bought a demetrios there in early December and they told me to expect it the first week in August. I guess if it comes early it'll be a nice, unexpected surprise.

I don't understand why they take so long to arrive?? Do they actually ahve to make the dress when it is ordered or do they have them in stock at the designers and are just slow? December to August--thats 9 months!!!! Will I get a dress in time?

I always heard that if the dress is available, they ship it right away. If it isn't then it takes longer because they have to make it. If Macy's says your date is 2 months before & they say it will be there. Then I think you're okay. Some people plan their weddings in 6 months and get the gown they want! They just have to put a rush on it! Maybe you should search somewhere else just in case. Hope everything works out great!

I know in my case - because of my height, then had to order a size 8, but with extra length. I guess they're making the dress as we speak. Does it take 9 months to make a dress??? I highly doubt it!!!!!
