Where do you have to go to legally change your last name??? Do you only go to the Social Security office or also so DMV???

AT the DMV, I changed my name on my license and my car title.
At SS, I did my name change, so I could officially change it at the office with all my tax and paystub information

I first went to SS, then to the DMV and then to the bank... after I called the CC companies, places that sent me bills and work...

I did the same!
Also remember to change your name on any frequent traveller programs you have to continue to earn points/miles. I had to fax/mail a copy of our marriage certificate for this.

Ditto. Then you'll find out there is always someplace you forgot to change it after your credit cards, magazines, catalogs, etc. I think I'm down to my maiden name on only my car insurance. Maybe I will change this before our first anniversary.
both places and I went to the bank and called all my credit cards to change my name too.

I first went to SS and changed it there, then I changed it with both my jobs and health insurance, and then just tday I changed it with DMV. Tomorrow I am going to change it with the bank. I am hoping to change it on my passport by the end of March.
