How much are you paying or were you quoted?

I took dance lessons for a year before I met my FH. (I got into a Swing Dance nerd phase). If you have some time b/f you get married I would suggest doing group lessons for at least 3 months (one class a week). I think the group classes are about $50-60/month per person. The reason why group classes are good is b/c you dance with different people and it's good for learning to lead/follow different types. I took my lessons at Sandra Cameron in NYC and started off with just East Coast swing. There are basic 6 classes(waltz, box step, foxtrot, etc), Tango, Salsa, etc as well. I really liked it there and they have weekly dance 'socials' for practice.

I know there are studios in NYC that do semi-private lessons. Say you could get 3 couples together and it would be like $15 per person per hour lesson.

I once got a price of $75 per hour/per couple. That is why we haven't gone yet.

We got quoted 130 for a comp. first lesson and then 4 45 minute private lessons. I am just trying to figure out if that is a good price.

We took them through continuing ed. at Nassau Community. We love it!!! It was $85 for 10 hour and a half lessons!

We paid $550 (for both)
for 7 one hour private sessions
4 group lessons
4 Party situations

at arthur murray...people told us at the wedding that they paid off...but when we saw the video...we were not as professional as I thought...lol

but we had a good time...its a really good workout and now we know how to dance...not just wrap around and sway...

I am not trying to find where to take them...I don't really think I could take them at NCC...the commute would kill me. I am trying to find out what people are paying or what price they were quoted.

We got ripped off, but I guess it was worth it
$600 for 15 lessons, 5 private, 5 group & 5 practice
@ Arthur Murray. It was really fun & we'll probably do more, I'll just shop around for a better price next time.

$72/hour for each lesson and hour of studio time. 100% well worth it!

Our instructor was awesome and we totally ****ed so we needed the expert help and one on one experience..

I took lessons at Arthur Murray also. The price and package was the same as RichsBride. It was pricey but I had an awesome time. I use to go after work with my DH and it was like a little date each week. I highly recommend taking them.
