For those with wavy/curly hair they are always trying to straighten
Just wanted to share this with you, I think I posted this before but felt the need to again.
I straightened my hair with easy straight, it is the best thing I have ever done! It changed my life! I am on time for work (almost every day )
My hair was wavy, but not a nice wave, it was an uneven wave. My hair is also very thick (not coarse though) so it took me 45-50 min to blow dry it straight. It is also heavy so no matter what I use it will not hold a curl.
Now I let it air dry and it looks great- no frizz, just straight (but not a flat dull straight. I LOVE it!!! It lasts 3-6 months (the box says)

Is this a flat iron or a product to put in the hair?

that sounds awesome. I envy you, I don't have the courage to do it. So...do you still have body in your hair?
I wish I wsn't such a big chicken

It is a product to put in the hair- a chemical straightener.
I was chicken too! Especially when I put it on my hair, it smelled so strong my eyes were watering. I almost washed it out.
My hair still has body, it is not flat iron straight. I also liked it because the box says by the time your new hair grows in, the curl starts to come back to the rest, so you do not have half straight, half curly hair. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with the results.

Can you buy this in a regular drugstore - like CVS? Or is this a salon product?

I will look great for Vegas! Yay!
I bought it at CVS. It was about $30.
I do want to say that it did not damage my hair at all, but my hair was pretty healthy to begin with, I don't color it or highlight it.
The kit comes with different directions for colored hair, different hair types, etc.

Let me know how it goes! I LOVE it. A warning for you though, the instuctions say you will not like it for the first week, then you will love it.
This is very true! At first it feels weird and flat, but 1 week and it was great!

Re: For those with wavy/curly hair they are always trying to straighten
Sounds cool!!! I have very curly hair, but I have been staightening it for over year now. I blow dry it first which takes 1 hour then I use my CHI ceramic iron to get frizz out which takes 20 min. Its such a battle. I can't do Japanese staigtening b/c my hair still has highlights. Where can I get this product? How much is it? Can it be used on highlighted hair?

It says it is safe for dyed hair, you leave it on for less time I think. It says safe all over the box. My hair is exactly the same as it was before, just straight. Not fried at all.
It is called easy straight, they sell it at cvs for about $30.

Why not? Maybe your hair dresser has some ideas.

hmmmmmmmmm, I am so interested...I have pretty healthy hair,,,aside from dying. It's just such a frizy awekard mess if I don't blow it straight. It's not corse, just thick.
Maybe I will get it and show my hair dresser???
I was just thinking the same thing... I had an appointment for Japanese Straightening, but it is supe-expensive and it can be hard to set your hair in curlers afterward

What I don't like about the Japanese straightening (I have not had it done, just know people that did) is that your hair is SO stick straight and flat. Also, when your hair grows in it looks terrible-The person I saw had really curly hair I guess. so at her roots it was curly and the rest was flat, it look bizarre.

Re: For those with wavy/curly hair they are always trying to straighten
My aunt got Japanese strightening done and it looks great if you like that super straight flat look. Its also very very silky and shiny. Also when it rains or humidity comes it does not effect her hair one bit. In about six months her roots come, it does look strange, but she uses her flat ceramic iron to smooth and srtighten them out. I think she pays less to get her roots done. But its is a up keep. See I love super straight, Im sick of body especially on my hair. I work so hard w/ the blow dryer and iron to keep it srtright and even sometimes I see that little wave, and I hate it.
