For those with wavy/curly hair they are always trying to straighten

Original post by Sunny

Just wanted to share this with you, I think I posted this before but felt the need to again.

I straightened my hair with easy straight, it is the best thing I have ever done! It changed my life! I am on time for work (almost every day )

My hair was wavy, but not a nice wave, it was an uneven wave. My hair is also very thick (not coarse though) so it took me 45-50 min to blow dry it straight. It is also heavy so no matter what I use it will not hold a curl.

Now I let it air dry and it looks great- no frizz, just straight (but not a flat dull straight. I LOVE it!!! It lasts 3-6 months (the box says)

I dont know if I would put anything like that in my hair from CVS unless I had healthy virgin hair

I would be afraid that since I had color in my hair that it would break off.

My hairdresser and I discussed the Japanese straightining, and she told me to this test for if you have color or highlights:

You take a strand of your hair that has a hightlighted portion or that has color on it, and put it in a glass of water. If it floats, its not recommended that you do it because the hair is too damaged. If it sinks, you should be OK. I did it and my grown in root sank, but the highlighted portion floated. She says that I may be OK if I did it, but there is no way to know for sure on my hair that there would be no breakage.

Has anyone found the Easy Straight that Sunny was talking about? I went to my local CVS yesterday and I couldn't find it and they had no clue what I was talking about and I am obsessed with finding it now!!
