For women already married....

Original post by lipglossjunky73

Do you ever feel like your wedding never happened?

Looking back, its such a vague blur to me, I have to tell myself - thats right - I'm married now - I had a wedding!

Isn't that strange???

same here!

i'm so happy we're picking up our video on sat!!! i can see what i missed!

OMG, I know how you feel. Last weekend DH's aunt showed me her video from the wedding and I got to see all the BP entrances that I missed, my flower girl and ring bearer, and seeing DH and all the guys walk down the aisle. That was the best!

We arent getting the video until after the HM because he will put our HM pics at the end - so it wont be around til September, when we come back!!!!

It doesn't seem like it happened. I guess when I see the video I will realize I was a bride. But we're dragging our feet picking pictures and songs.

Oh, girlfriend, I feel the exact same way. I totally forget that we're married sometimes. I say 'My husband' all the time, hoping that saying it will convince me that it's real. But yeah, if it not for the giant photo album on my coffee table I would completely forget that the wedding happened half the time!
I'm also with you on the glad it's over, don't want to go back train. It was a wonderful day, but planning was exhausting and it's more special as a memory of our lovely day.

i dont feel that way at all. i thought it would all go by in a blur, but i can say that it didnt move fast. i remember asking DH what time it was and i thought to myself, two more hours, wow this day is moving slower than i thought it would. i had a small wedding, so maybe that is why.

When I first read your post I was like, 'I don't know what she's talking about.' Then I remembered that for many months, I'd wake up in the morning and wonder if the wedding I remembered had really happened or if what I remember was just how I imagined my FUTURE wedding to be. And it took a few minutes before I realized it was in the past, not future.

So yeah, I know the feeling but I almost forgot about it. The feeling seems to have faded now that time has gone on. Does that make sense?
