For your OOT guests?

Original post by lisam1113

For anyone reserving a room block @ a hotel for OOT guests. Did you provide them with the complimentary shuttle from the hotel or get a shuttle from your limo company for their convenience to not have to drive? I hate having to make decisions for what people are going to want to do because maybe they'll want to drive & do what they want but maybe they'd like the decision & be able to enjoy the open bar more also & not have to worry how they're getting back to the hotel. TIA for your opinons :)

we got two hampton jitney buses to take to ceremony / reception and 1 bus doing 2 trips on the way back

everyone loved having the bus -- but then again almost all of our guests were out of town.

Shuttle - especially since its a holiday weekend. I'd rather not have people drinking and driving - I want everyone to have a good time without worrying about how much they are drinking.

Our hotel offers free shuttle service to and from the RH for guests staying there (if 10 rooms are booked under the block).

For our OOT guests who are not staying at the hotel (this is basically all of FH's family coming in from England/Ireland), we are getting a Coach Bus that will take them from FIL's house to the church to the RH and then back to FIL's house at the end of the evening.

We are providing cab info :( After pricing, it was like $800 for any type of transpo. I called cab companies, and for groups of 4, the price is $15 each way. I know it kinda sucks, but we just can't afford to pay for everyone :( Atleast we got a super nice hotel for less then $100 though!! The yuckier looking hotel was $140/night with free transpo....I opted for the nicer/cheaper hotel, hoping that they won't mind the cab costs, bc in the end it's cheaper.
