former Russo's on the Bay Brides

Hi Ladies!

I know Russo's is very strict on their policy with the bride & groom not being able to bring any type of food into the facility. For example I had wanted ben & jerrys to do an ice cream cart to go with my Fall in Vermont theme and we werent allowed to do it..I understand their policy 1,000% but I want to get a grooms cake for FH from a perticular bakery he loves. Has any Russo's bride had a grooms cake brought to russos for their FH. Was it allowed?

I didn't get married there, but to me it sounds ridiculous that you're spending a giant amoount of money at their venue, and they need to get over it if you want to bring in a groom's cake!

the reason that they dont allow outside food brought in is completely understandable..if you came to my weddding and ate the food at russos and the cake from another bakery and then got really sick you would tell everyone not to eat the food at russos because it made you really sick.. but in the meantime it could be the cake that got you sick not russos food so I can understand the reasoning 100% but I am not happy about it lol! I found out some info and I will be ordering the grooms cake from them they will make it for me.

The cake at my son's wedding on 9/3/07 was fantastic and beautiful. They had the white cake with cannoli filling and they drizzeled chocolate over it with a piece of fruit. It was yummy.
They also did a groom's cake for Peter of Yankee Stadium and it was adorable!! They did a great job on it. If you do a search on the 07 board for a post from MJDoc12, dated 9/4/07 titiled GREATEST WEDDING I'VE EVER ATTENDED! NINA IS MARRIED!!!!!!!!! (Pics inside) Updated. You are very welcome! I hope you enjoy the pictures. Russo's was fabulous from the moment we stepped foot out of the limo until the end of the evening. The service was impeccable! Nina's parents were never there since they are from Roswell, NM and I was going to show them around, but when I told our maitre-d he gave them a full tour of Russo's....it was just fabulous.
By the way Nina's mom is in red and I'm in green.

P.S. Both of m y sons used Classie Sounds as their DJ. They are the house DJ for Russo's and the Riviera in Brooklyn. They are fabulous....if you want to hear them ask for Nick or Steve to be your MC/DJ.
