fh and I went to fortunoffs to purchase a new hallway rug for their 75% off sale...
sooo we go to pay with our 'dream card' and the sales lady procedes to tell us that they aren't allowed to accept those cards anymore... they are also NOT selling gift cards either...
she then proceeds to tell us that everything there is day by day but she's already looking for a new job !!!
so then after we pay for the rug I march right up to the bridal and gift registry and start asking questions...
the girl there was very very sketchy but told me that i didn't have any dream points because i just received a card... which is true... but if i have any gift cards to use them in the near future...
if any of you ladies have gift cards or dream points rewards CASH THEM IN ASAP !!!!
just wanted to let everyone know...
ps-- make sure you give them a call to see if you have any dream points available !!!

i heard about this friday and i had $300 credit so i ran to use it fri night and tried to use the dream club card to pay for the rest and was told no. Somone i know works there and she thinks they will be closing 8-12 weeks, I switched everything to BBB just in case

We have been working on switching things over. This really s ucks. Some things can only be bought at Fortunoff so I'm really worried. I told FH that we have to go this week and use all of our giftcards.

I think Im going to go this weekend too and use ours! what the eff have I been using this dream card for to collect points??? i never would have opened it otherwise!!! Im so upset! and seriously BBB just doenst have half of the stuff I put on my registry at Fortunoffs

I regisered there and so did my BM who's wedding is 3 months before me and almost her entire registry is from there................when is all of this happening? I have a gift card and I'm not sure how many points I have....I'm going to have to go and check that one out

I spoke with them. They will likely just be bought out as they were last time. However, they are not ordering new merchandise right now. I am leaving my registry. I have two anyhow. Howevere, i wuld suggest using any gift cards you have.
P.S. For those of you that are very nervous, Macys is a good alternative to fortunoff and carries a lot of the same stuff which can be added online.

I don't need anything done to it now, but, from wearing it daily the prongs need to get tightened and there are loose diamonds in between the prongs. Every jeweler that we've brought it to told me that they wouldn't tighten it bc they don't want to be held responsible if the diamonds fall out.

thats ridiculous. I am having my ering setting redone right now and my jeweler has the whole thing, he is also making me an eternity band to fit perfectly with it.
Where are you located, I can recommend an excellent jeweler that my family has used for years.

I'm just saying it's a little strange for a jeweler to be afraid to set a diamond, that is their business after all isn't it. I think you need a real jeweler not just a store that sells jewelry. My guy is in Plainview so that will not help you.

Hey ladies,
FH and i decided to go find out the EXACT truth about fortunoffs. I called 3 times during the day and was told i would get a call back, the woman never called me back. We were so fed up we went there and demanded to see the woman. She spoke with us. I told her what i read on here, and she told us that Lord and Taylor bought them out a year ago but wants out. They are up for sale. They may get bought, if they dont they will go bankrupt. You can not use ur card anymore, and must use ur gift cards ASAP, you also can not retun anything at the present time. Oh and heres the worst part: i asked her about our points (u know the 5%) she said she doesnt know what will happen with that for us. She only knows what will happen for those people already married. U cant use ur points til 2 months AFTER your wedding. I almost flipped out! i got so annoyed talking to her i was raising my voice, and when i askedif they would be shut down shortly, her co-worker shook her head no, and this woman felt bad now and didnt wanna lie, so she kinda shrugged her shoulders. I asked why she shrugged her shoulders and she said she doesnt know if she will even hve a job tomorrow, they dont have ANY idea what is going on with the company.
ooo and so FH and i went to buy our bedding tonight, and our sheet set, comforter and drapes were all sold out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so now we have no idea wht to spend the giftcards on!!! we want to get items we cant get anywhere else. ugh this sux!!!!!!!!

I also heard they keep adervising 20% off the entire store but when you get to the store nothing is really on sale.....is that true? I was planning on going over there with FH on Friday after work
