I was there at 10 am this morning. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR ANY RETURNS. Thank G O D I went to day had I had one item to return. I did have a coupon that that were able to use, so that was great. It was so sad there the workers are like almost in tears, one lady worked for them for 26 years. It's so sad.

my best friend got laid off Thursday....she mostly everyone in the corporate office will be laid off in the next few days

Yeah I know they find out new things each day and it goes out by memo.

Thats terrible.. my friend works there also and she has been there for 30 years!!!!!!!!! and she goes in everyday scared that they will lay her off

I feel terrible for the employees.
Thankfully we switched everything over to Bloomingdales, but the consultant there was shocked that Fortunoff hadn't sent any notices yet.

I am completely annoyed that they didn't have the courtesy to contact the brides that have an existing/open registry.
Give them a heads up before the shower invitations went out. I know my shower is this sunday and the majority of my registry is gone- but what about the brides who don't know and ONLY registered there.. SHAME ON THEM!!!

ITA! I just think its so wrong to leave brides hanging like that.. and serously no annoucements!!!!!!! I got a mailer from them for Valentines Day jewerly and I just couldnt believe it

I should of added- That they should take RETURNS at least up to 30 days after purchase. What if something is cracked or damaged..
Now i am more annoyed..
The ONLY positive thing about this- is that NO ONE purchased my good stemware- so hopefully they will have a liquidation sale and i can buy it myself..
But i am still mad..lol

This pi$$es me off big time. DH bought my engagement ring there. Many times we had thought about returning it bc the center stone and the side stones are always loose. I guess it's too late now.

I was there about a week ago to try to get some of the few things I still had left on my registry and I saw them actually give a girl a scanner to start a registry!!!! Why would they allow this poor girl to start a registry if they know that things are not looking good.....

I just wanted to let everyone know I was there yesterday and returned something that was bought and paid for on a fortunoff credit card. The card was already paid for so we had no balance. We returned something worth $150 and they put back on our card. We thought it was a credit so went to buy something else so we wouldn't loose the $150. Well.. when we went to buy and use the credit card they told us they are no longer accepting fortunoff credit card... and she couldn't believe they put credit back to our card because they have been dropped by the bank and they are no longer supposed to do that...that we would have to contact the bank in order to get our money back. We went back to returns and had them over write the credit and they put credit on our master card in stead. (Although I never heard of this before but they assure us that the $150 will go onto our MC. ) Anyway, my point is, if you go and return today or if they accept returns further down the line, I would request cash back!

Just spoke to my sister who went in to get a basket/plate setting gift wrapped-
They basically told her, no more coupons, no exchanges, no refunds, no fortunoff credit cards. They are still open for business but going to be auctioned off next monday..
My shower is this sunday- i am PRAYING no one bought me a gift card because i will be very ticked off! They should HONOR gift cards because someone gave them CASH for it!
