Fortunoff Registries...

For those registered on Fortunoff, does your registry still say 'special order' on 3/4 of your registry like mine did?!

I had sent a semi concerned and not so nice email trying to find out what was going on and finally an actual person called me at home last night from the registry department to reassure me everything was fine and explained some things to me...today my registry doesn't say special order anymore, just the date that some of the items will be available... hummmmmmmmm

I have posted my call back from Fortunoff too and I did mention concern for the rest of LIW brides.

I don't know what's up with them. I opened two more registries just in case and took a majority of stuff off of Fortunoff just in case.

i posted before, they discontinued my glasses, didnt contact me & when I called to complain, I was told someone would call me but no one did...

I seriously want to delete my registry from there

Some of the items on my registry do say special order but there is a date next to it. I am assuming this is the date it will be available. I have about half of my items on my fortunoff registry and the other half on BBB so I was starting to get worried.

Do you have to contact the registry department where you actually went to register?

i am so upset about this almost all my items turned into special order overnight.
I transferred what i could over to BBB registry
but Fortunoff carries certain items that BBB doesnt,

I think special order is just one step away from discontinued...i duno its kinda upsetting

Thats weird, I just noticed that too. I wonder whats going on with them. Unfortunately the shower invites went out already, so I cant change. Oh well.

I called them yesterday funny you mentioned it. I noticed almost everything needed to be special ordered! They told me that means its not in stock right now and could take 4-6 weeks to get in. That they couldn't tell me when. I said my shower is soon and they said they were sorry they didn't know what to tell me. so i switched whatever I could to bed bath and beyond. I still have some stuff but i need to re register for my good silverware now b/c that one is special order and I dont' want to risk not getting it. I'm so frustrated!

I just called customer service and the woman there told me it just means that the item isnt in stock now and that if someone wants to buy it now they will have to place a special order and not try to find it in the store or order it online. She said I should contact the actual location where I registerd for more information.

yup, quite a few things and my shower is soon lol...but i dont care, i have TONS of things on crate and barrel and BBB... a few things were already bought from fortunoff so thats fine and everything else on there im fine with not getting bc of it

Yea that makes me mad too because some of the items BBB has but my everyday dishes for example arent carried at BBB, neither are my glasses or silverware.

Can you kinda elaborate on what they told you? I've seen a bunch of things on my registery be marked with that too lately. But, I've also noticed that even items marked special order have been purchased.

Yeah this is pretty much what they said to me about what special order means. They called me from the Source Mall location and kind of said that as with some items they might discontinue, to which you will be notified, i actually got a notification today of one of my china items being discontinued...and then she said special order doesn't mean that it is not going to be available just that it will be at the date shown.

My registry at fortunoff doesnt' say that, but I've had a lot of problems with them and transferred my registry over to BBB. We had an engagement party, and some people sent us things off the registry, but some things people sent never arrived, I had to make several phone calls and they finally showed up weeks later. Then they sent us a wrong place setting. And finally, there was a free bowl that was supposed to be shipped with all the place settings we got, and none of them were sent, another arguement with fortuneoff!

My biggest concern is my china, because most of it is special order. Luckily my mom bought us our settings, but it doesn't look like I'll be getting any of the other pieces since most won't be in until May and I know my shower will be in before that. I really wish something was said to us when we were registering initially!

Same here, I took a lot of my stuff off and put it on Bloomingdales. I only have a few things on Fortunoffs and I might even take that off. Some stuff was purchased off of it already so I am really not too concerned if I don't get anything else from there. I may not even mention my Fortunoffs one at this point
