I'm glad you're OK! It's great that you went to a doctor and took care of it right away, even though you felt scared.

I had my breast sonogram today which was a relief as it was really painless. The conductive gel was warm and thankfully my DH and BM with her B/F were all by my side. Well, DH was in the same room but my BM with her B/F were in the waiting room. I'm glad that I have a good support system that really do care about me as they take action rather than just talk and worry, worry, worry. Talk is theory where action is practice.

The sonographer and radiology technican just did their job and sent the report to my primary care physican and I have to contact my primary care for the results. I'll know within 2 days which I'm nervous as I know there's something there but it look like on the monitor that the sonographer or radiology technican didn't see it during the sonographing. It's my breast as I know there's something there not just vessels or glands which I think the sonographer wasn't looking throughly. Augh! I told the woman to go upwards as it's in my armpit which she really go there. Well, we'll see within this week for the results. Something's there and I know it.

Go get it checked out...I believe they say that if its tender than its usually OK..usually its hard non-tender lumps that are more serious..but lets leave it up to the dr. to figure it out. Call in the morning!

Usually the doctor is right and they just do the sonogram to be certain. The sonographer is not allowed to give you any results, just complete the tests. At this point, keep doing what the doctor said and unfortunately all you can do is wait the two days to see what your doctor says. I hope all is okay.

Glad to hear that it was a cyst. Keep your spirits up as best you can and I hope all goes well with the most recent test.

I know how you feel- I was diagnosed with cystic breasts and had to go for a sonogram and worry as well.
i am fm'ing you the name of a breast specialist in the city that i went to ( i am actually going back next week for a recheck) she was really nice.
Cystic breasts are harmless & apparently common in women in thier 30's.

I got the results from my sonogram from my doctor. It was much frustration with being on eternal hold and back and forth calls. I never got to speak with my primary care doctor after all that. Unfortunately, the results are not good. It's a begin nodule in the breast. It's a mass that needs to be surgically removed and examed for a breast biopsy. I'm glad I got it checked out earlier as it can lead to a malignant cancerous tumor.

I've made several phone calls for appt. with breast specialists and got one. Special thanks to Nov.bride who gave me a contact name of one breast specialist; however, this doctor does not accept Blue Cross Blue Shield but a colleague of hers does who I have an appt. with. I'll get a copy of the sonogram film and report before seeing a specialist. I never knew that as a patient requesting sonogram film/pics and/or report cost a whopping amount per sheet! $5.00 per sheet of film and $.75 per sheet of report. Well, nothing I can do now. I'd finished all the antibiotic which made me sick with diarrhea and got the sonogram done. Next to get the sonogram film and report and go to the breast specialist.
