Found Lump in Armpit of Breast

After taking a shower I'd exam myself in the mirror being depressed with my weight gain when I'd noticed a lump in the armpit of my breast. I found myself saying 'hum what's that?' It felt like a round hump sometimes annoying and other times hurtful. It's a soft round lump looking very ugly as it looks like a third breast hanging. It hurts upon pressing down, shaving my armpit, putting deodorant, and showering in that area. DH notice it after we were intimate a few times but I don't like to be exam as I know I have flaws so I brushed him off. Both mothers don't know about it. My mother is known to go blabbing endlessly making the problem public knowledge to the whole world as then the whole world can give me a sympathy party. My mother’s maternal family houses a history of cancer as well as Nick’s maternal family. I don’t know what it is but will get it checked out.

Now that I’ve notice it now I’m conscious of it. I'm worried and having trouble sleeping as this year starting out wasn't that great with a job loss and now this. I'm only 29 pushing 30 which I thought that breast cancer for women has a greater risk of ages 40+. Anxiety won't leave my stomach.

Go to the doctor, ASAP, if it is nothing you're mind wil be clear,and G-d forbid it is something they will know what to do. Hugs to you. I once had a cyst right above my breat and was petrified , I got it checked out and eventually it opened, of course right as I was about to leave on vacation, but it still fills up now and then when I get my period. Better to be safe and find out asap. Good luck and keep us posted!

At least let a doctor take a look at it, for peace of mind. It could be something harmless - like a swollen gland or lymph node. Sometimes these things happen simply due to what 'time of the month' it is for us.

Hope it's nothing, and that everything is fine!

Not sure why but I always figured if it hurt to the touch, it was a swollen gland....if it was something worse, it would be a very hard under the skin but not too painful.

Either way, you should DEFINITELY have a dr check it out very thoroughly.

Go to the doctor. It is probably nothing, but you need to hear that from a doctor.

Go to the dr and get it checked out. It could be a cyst, an ingrown hair and nothing at all.

I went to my primary care dr. She examed it. It's a cyst which I was much relived. However, she prescribed an antibotic and I have to soak the lump with warm water in a cloth. I also have to go for a breast sonogram which I made an appt. next week. It's a relief but still changes my outlook on breast cancer support. DH and I are going to particpate in the Avon breast cancer walk-a-thon in NYC in October.

I am glad to hear you are OK. I am a walker and I am the team cordinator for a day in October when everyone in the office wears jeans to work for a donation to breast cancer. I had a scare in December. I had to get a biopsy and it turns out I have a benign lump condition. They will always come and go. Thank God you are Ok. It really does make you think
