Four Weddings Question

Has anyone interviewed to be on this show??
What was it like?

What do you think the likelihood is that they will pick you?

Let me know anything you can

Thanks!

Re: Four Weddings Question

I applied and was interviewed. I was offered a spot on the show, but turned it down (it was too much stress, although I do wish it would have worked out).

For the interview they videotaped me answering questions about what my wedding would be like, what I liked about weddings, what I didn't like. I got a sense that whatever I said i didn't like, they'd be putting me on a show with a girl who liked it. They did a couple of background-type checks, and then that was it.

regardless of how amazing your wedding is, someone (from the show) will ALWAYS say that something was bad. if you go on the show, you have to not care ... your wedding day will be perfect because you're marrying your fiance, not because you win or lose

Re: Four Weddings Question

eople in my family were like, won't you be so upset when the girls talk smack about you, and I don't think I would really care, because frankly I'm usually my harshest critic, so if I thought something went wrong, I don't need annoying girls to tell me it did - I already know

The main thing that concerned me was the idea of the film crew being there. I didn't want it to disrupt the other guests. The other contestants are just 3 guests among 150- I didn't want the other people uncomfortable. TLC told me that when a person was filmed, they approach them to sign a waiver to put them on TV. If they don't want to be on TV, they have to edit them out. Also, the 3 girls have to sit somewhere, so you have to seat them with guests. These are all little things that might not bother some people, but I didn't like. Again, it was just too much stress for me at the time.

Plus, I would have had to spend 2 full weekend days in the month before MY wedding at these other weddings, and I just didn't have the time to sacrifice.

I totally would have won though

Thanks for the feedback... TLC asking my guests to sign waivers would really annoy me! I dont think I can do this!

Im also kind of sensitive.. i dont know how I would handle bad feedback

then don't do it ... it's not worth the stress - it's supposed to be fun.

Re: Four Weddings Question

Yeah, it's not worth it. I wouldn't want a big, memorable part of my wedding to turn into something else because the 4 weddings girls were involved (such as 1 of them catching the bouquet). I'd rather it be with my guests that I invited and that I know.
