Hey girls... I first want to say I am new to this website but I've been reading blogs for the past 3 weeks, so I thought why not!! So here it goes!! I got engaged 3 weeks ago to my high school sweetheart. Apparently everyone books early so I've been shopping around for the past week and went to over 10 places (I think). My favorite is the Fox Hollow. My issue is that I was told that I can only have the Grand Ballroom- and I wasn't given any other options (winter garden pavillion, etc). Sooo... Is the Grand Ballroom their nicest room? I don't know. But it seems as if everyone books in the winter garden pavillion - Is it because it's nicer?? I need help because I think I am going to sign for the Fox Hollow on Thursday but I don't want to feel as if I am settling. P.S.. I also have the prices of every place I went to and I will put that up tomorrow.

Re: Fox Hollow
CONGRATS! I can sort of kind of help you... since we're only booked 2 days apart.
I booked the WGP because I have a low minimum I wasn't given any other options besides WGP so I bet it depends largely on how many guests you're having.

Re: Fox Hollow
Ack, first of all... like Goldie, I forgot my wedding date... we're booked 9 days apart (for a second I thought I was getting married on 3/27/10).
My min is 110 but WGP doesn't hold more than I think at max 140.

Re: Fox Hollow
I love Fox Hollow...it was gorgeous the only reason we didn't book it was because FH did not like the Garden Terrace room and that was the only room they were giving us because we had a certain number of people and that was their biggest room. The Garden Terrace pavilion has a minimum of 125 or something like that. So we didn't choose fox hollow because we weren't please with the room ***NO OFENCE TO FOX HOLLOW BRIDES*** JMHO but the grounds are gorgeous and i love their garden the really up keep it nicely.
Welcome and Congratulations

Re: Fox Hollow
Fox Hollow is lovely.
I plan on making one trip back to see the winter garden room so I can see what it looks like at night (in person).

Re: Fox Hollow
we have the WGP because of how small our guest list is, but I have heard nothing but good things about all of the rooms at fox hollow

OOOh, that'll be neat!! So I was right the first time we ARE getting married on the same date if you book there.
I've had nothing but good experiences there.

Re: Fox Hollow
when i went to fox hollow they offered me the winter pavillion room for my cocktail hour and the briar fox room for the reception. My guest list was 150-175ppl. they said that this was my only option if i wanted to have the ceremony there.
apparently i couldnt have the garden room AND the ceremony on a saturday night....i dunno, it has something to do with the structure/organization of their events. because they have 2 events at a time they give certain rooms based on certain circumstances. lol

Re: Fox Hollow
First, congrats and welcome!!!!
I booked with FH. My room is the WGP for Cocktail and Briar Fox for reception. The BF is for under 185, once you have over that they put you in Garden Terrace. So if you have a large guest list you have no choice. I will say this, as many girls know, I have had doubts about my room. I think the GT is the nicer room. But with the GT they don't do the cocktail hour in the WGP which is soooooo pretty.
If you have any concerns/questions, feel free to FM me. I've been there so many times, I can answer all questions, haha!

Re: Fox Hollow
I am in the Garden Terrace room, i love it! Originally i could not have had that room w/ my minimum at night time so i am having a day reception. Plus i like the fact that i can have my CH outside in the garden (lets hope it doesnt rain!). Otherwise, the Briar Fox room becomes my CH room.

Re: Fox Hollow
I think like most halls it depends on what is available for your date and the amount of people you think you will have.
Some rooms only hold x amount of people. They won't give you a room that holds only 130 for 200 guests and vice versa.
