Re: fox hollow brides

Fox Hollow is very nice, pretty but unfortunately I only have negative things to say about the rest of Fox Hollow and the way they deal with weddings.

Don't mean to open an old wound, but I am curious, what kinds of negative things do you have to say about Fox Hollow? I am a new Fox Hollow bride as of last week Thursday. Feel free to FM me. I am asking so I know what to look for and guard against it if possible. I will be sure to have my fiercest friend ready to crack the whip. My girls are scary when provoked. My FH is also a force to be reckoned with...he already said he will be at the RH 2 hours before inspecting everything for me.

Which room are you in?

Re: fox hollow

Winter Garden Pavilion for the ceremony, Briar Fox for the CH and then back in the WGP for the reception. How about you?

Re: fox hollow

Outside for ceremony... bell tower or briar fox for CH. Garden Terrace for Reception.

Re: fox hollow

Lovely! I didn't have a chance to look around at all of the other rooms, but the grounds are beautiful. Hopefully I will see them on one of the multiple visits I will make between now and 3/30/12. Oh, and originally I was looking at 2011 dates or earlier in 2012, but since we went with the end of March we may have good weather and have the ceremony outside.

How many guest are you expecting? We are thinking 80-100.

Re: fox hollow

Our minimum is 175, but we're inviting at least 250. If we have more than 175.. great. Less.. boo!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! There's also a thread you can check out. I went to their official baker this past weekend and I didn't try the cake yet, but the cookies are super yummy!!!

Now that is a par-tay!

Re: fox hollow

Oh, so you do have a chance to try out the cake? Nice! I thought I would have to guess which flavor I would like. If the cookies are yummy that is a good sign.

Thanks for offering to answer my questions. I am sure I will have many. There is a Fox Hollow bride thread? I will look for it.

Are you going to the 1/19/11 PWP showcase at the Chateau? I received a postcard about it today. I am thinking about it. If I miss this one there will be others to check out.

Re: fox hollow

Yes, absolutely! It's fun and you can meet the vendors. Check out Tommy Tunes. They are a house vendor and I haven't booked my DJ yet, but FH and I really like them. Great pricing.

There are others to check out and you should also check our the Bridal Cocktail hour at the Hotel. If you block a set of 10 rooms, you'll get 1 free suite aside from the one you received when you booked. So... 2 nights free!!!

Re: fox hollow

Okay now....that is what I am talking about...another free night.

Thanks for recommending I go to the events and check out Tommy Tunes. I will definitely do that. With a name like Tommy Tunes he must rock the party.

Re: fox hollow

Just be careful! Go in with a budget because my FH started trying to upgrade EVERYTHING!!!! I mean everything.... (which, btw.. was super cute). Tommy said it's usually the other way around. Usually the bride wants to go over the budget, but my FH just wants everything to be perfect. Just another reason to love him.

Re: fox hollow

Awww, your FH is so sweet! My FH is trying to brainwash me into be as frugal as he is. Ha! He is committed to finding the best deals. But you are making a good point, I need to have a reasonable budget in mind before seeing the vendors.
