Fox Hollow
Went to Fox Hollow again last night and am feeling a bit better about things. We are in the Winter Garden Pavillion - they have new chivari chairs (no more silver and green cushions... which did not complement my colors, so yay!). We also heard that there is a possibility the room will be 'rennovated' before our March 2014 date. Apparently they are planning to refinish the floors - there will be one solid floor throughout and there was also mention of the possibilty of removing the 'waterfall' wall in the back so there is some more floor space to work with. Have any other FH WGP brides heard about this?

Fox Hollow
I looked at Fox Hollow last weekend. I absolutely loved the rooms - especially the Garden Pavilion one.The two things that put me off were: the salesman-esque BM (he also made us wait for 45 minutes!) and the fact that they booked my viewing DURING two weddings. I saw one the brides 3 times during the tour and I couldn't have felt worse - I would have been livid if I saw random people in jeans walking around during my wedding.
We also saw the other bride when we were taken on a tour outside. They were taking pictures with the photographer and the BM had no problem letting us 'photobomb' them. I told him I didn't feel comfortable looking in the garden outside while they were shooting and he just replied with 'it's fine'. It's a shame because I really liked the rooms.

I'm also using the GP room and I was told the same thing for lighting but he told me he wasn't 100/ sure of it but that will be nice

Re: Fox Hollow
If it makes you feel better, I just checked out the BBB's rating on my RH and it's a D-
When I looked that the reasons that lowered the rating, the reason given was 'BBB does not have sufficient background information on this business'. They then listed positive factors as the length of time the business has been operating and the fact that there have been minimal complaints for a business of that size. I don't have one negative thing to say about my RH so far. The food is incredible and my BM has been so helpful and friendly! I guess my bottom line is don't put too much weight into the BBB rating.

Oh, you're right! I forgot to mention that part... the BM suggested that we not contract with anyone for uplighting as they may be dropping the lights in themselves during the renovation. Regardless, I probably won't do uplighting - I got to see the room at night yesterday and the chandelier lighting gives is beautiful - it's a classic look.

I had the same bad experience with the BM there, it was so salesman-y I just wanted to get out of there. He wouldn't even show us the WGP! He only showed us the Somerley, which was stunning, but I wanted to see the WGP as well and he kept saying 'You don't really need to see it, its just $10/pp less'. So annoying! But like you said, it's a shame because I really did like the place...
