That's really rude. Our RH was so patient and didnt apply any pressure. In 2 weeks I was back there five times...and not once did he make us feel like he was wasting his time. I was the one that felt bad! : )

that happened to us with JT....the guy whose name i will not mentioned started saying but if you guys will return we might not have your date....he also said when FH and i told him that we were looking into our RH he was like well its better to have CT indoors cause when is hot your guests will get upset ( which could be true) but had no right to say it like that...so we totally got turned off by this and decided to go against it!

They were so rude and I dealt with two different people. James and I ate dinner there tonight with my parents and the food wasn't great. James got surf and turf and his steak was well done and he ordered it medium rare. His lobster was eh too. It's such a nice resturant and we were dissapointed.
We drove over to Westbury Manor after and ended up loving the place to death and the woman we delt with was seriously an angel. I love that winder garden room and always will but I could not deal with those nasty people another day.
oh lol by James I mean FH

Yeah we felt that was at JT also. Besides the cocktail hour has unbrellas and if you really want it indoors WM will do it.

That is just not right. My RH hall held my date without a Deposit until I can work some stuff out!! If they really wanted your business they should hold your date until you figure things out

Re: Fox Hollow BM?
Wow, that was not my experience at all. And let me tell you I'm HIGH MAINTENANCE when it comes to my wedding. I changed my date at FH *three* times! They held the last one for me for about 3 or 4 days too.
In addition, my contract has so many changes to to it.... and Susan could not be nicer and more accommodating. When she can't do something she explains it so it makes sense. I also dealt a lot with Jessica of PWP, and everyone has been an absolute doll.
I dealt with other BMs at FH and while one had me wait a while even though I had an appointment they comped me all my drinks at the restaurant while I was waiting and the restaurant wasn't even open yet.
(I also had the same guy y'all are talkijng about at JT... that's just his pitch, and it didn't work on me... I walked out after 10 minutes).

Re: Fox Hollow BM?
There were some places I felt that way. Fox Hollow did push me a little, saying to book RIGHT AWAY.
I found the people to be nicest and most accomodating at: Chateau Briand and Westbury Manor.
And of course JT went above and beyond for us!!

i had the same experience (w/ the same guy) at JT! He just basically gave me and FH a date and wouldnt even let us ask about any other dates! Then was like 'well you better hurry we're already booking 2011' yeah man whatever.

Re: Fox Hollow BM?
They tried to do the same with me when I am coming to see my room today. They were asking me if I will book after seeing it. I told them I don't know and cant say. He even brought up that he's showed it to me before. I brought up that I wasn't able to walk through it and had to look down & over it from a window all the way at the top.
My friend called to make her appt and she had to keep playing phone tag with numerous BM's to get it. Everytime she called she was told by whoever answered the phones they weren't there or available, despite the fact they literally just called her.
I don't know how I feel about any of these halls. I don't think any of the BM's anywhere give two sh**ts about your wedding as long as they get the most money out of you.

Wow I had the complete opposite experience there. I think it depends on your BM there b/c I have heard of girls having similar experiences to yours.
We went back to fox hollow EIGHT times before booking. My parents were very nervous about making such a huge financial committement (as anyone would be) and my BM was so ncie to my parents. He answer all there crazy questions, even questioned my THREE page questionaire! Plus, I was still have doubts about my room and went back again two weeks ago to see the rooms again and he relaxed my concerns.

Re: Fox Hollow BM?
i did not look at any of the places mentioned but places i did look at i had similar issues. for instance 1 place i looked at, the women did not have a menu for me to take home the day i went. (i had made my appointment 2 weeks in advance). then i had to call her 4 times in the matter of 2 weeks to get her to e-mail it to me. then someone told me they are selling the place to a new owner & thats why it took so long. but i crossed them off my list.

A co-worker of mine is getting married on 10-10-10 at JT. She loves it and couldn't be happier.
And I thought JT was gorgeous, and I may have booked there, but I've got a friend or two in wheelchairs and it just wasn't accessible enough. They had ramps, but I didn't want to have to deal with that...

Is there any way you can request working with someone else? I loved my BM but he unfortunately left! ugh.
