I got myself worried about the chairs and chair cover situation. LOL!
I do like the look of chair covers, I think it gives a very elegant look. But for $5-7???!!!?!?!?!?! The chairs are just fine.
As for the other rooms besides WGP, I like those chairs. But then they kinda match the warm colors I'm using for wedding colors since they are like a deep red color. Hey maybe they will let me try those chairs in the room instead! The WGP chairs are white, and pretty much blend in with the table linens.
I guess if the chairs aren't really matching the vision in our heads that's why some people don't like them.
But if you go to the site, you can see what the chairs look like in the rooms. Plus don't forget, they are always upgrading. If, and that's a big if, the chairs aren't in good repair, they do replace them. I remember the BM telling me they were redoing the suites in teh hotel. I asked why, they were beautiful.
ETA: I have two pics in my wedding ideas album that show WGP set up with the chairs. I know I was the original negative poster, but they do look nice.

Oh lets not go crazy about the chairs and get all upset. They are just chairs and we, as brides, are the only ones who would even notice something like chairs. I know this because when I mentioned I didnt love the chairs people told me I was out of my mind. As long as the food and service are good, people think its amazing, and I know none of us need to worry about that :)
And I think because we're all talking our hall, we're a little less censored with our opinions. Because I don't see it as bashing, just stating things - obviously we all think the place is great

Lets be real.... is anyone going to leave our wedding and say the chairs are 'ugly?' I put them in quotes in the first place because its all a matter of opinion... the only thing that really matters is the party is fun, food is good, and that you and FH have a day you will remember forever... lets talk about how great everything is at the fox hollow!! thats why we booked!

I didn't mean to upset anyone when i said that it was upsetting. It's just that I got FM's from girls asking if I knew which rooms had the 'Ugly Chairs' as if it were the end of the world.
I gotta admit, most of the time i'm super laid back about the wedding. However, there are days on here when I get all caught up in what other 'brides' think, and instead of seeing it as brides wanting everything perfect, I see it as 'omg my guests NEED this or that' I didn't even know what a slipper basket or 'We Do' letters were before this site, and for a few days there i was convinced i needed both.
The same happened for a second with the chair covers.
Chair covers look great. And honestly, if they werent so damn expensive I'd probably get them. But the ugly chairs arent really ugly. They go perfectly with the rooms. With that being said... everyone's theme or color scheme might not look great with said chairs. But trust me... the other ladies are right... no one but the bride is going to care about whether the chairs match or not.

For me... it's silly... but as soon as I walked into the lobby and saw the fire place with the old fashioned ceiling fans I knew we had found our RH. People thought that I was crazy because we were already booked somewhere else and had to cancel b/c of the fire places and the ceiling fans.

The Fireplace is beautiful... I booked becaues I walked into the garden terrace and I started to tear up because it was the first hall that when I was standing on the dance floor... I could imagine our first dance... I second guess everything so of course I also second guessed my choice.. but whenever I do.. I think back to that first moment in the room... and envision my first dance... im a cheese ball.. i know...

The Winter Garden Pavillion room - it is so perfectly FH & I.....the waterfall - just the way the room will look in candlelight....i can't get over it. The minute we walked out of that room i turned to him and did the Napolean Dynamite - I WANT THAT..he did too - thankfully!!

I love that room. I did when we first saw it too but I also knew it was too small. I loved the fact that they said we could have our CH in there though. That's what sealed the deal for FH because I was freaking out about it raining for our outdoor ch at the other place and getting stuck in a small ugly room.
Now, it's all the beauty of an outdoor, with all the comforts of indoor. Plus.... who isn't going to be impressed by the indoor waterfall??

Before going to the Fox Hollow FH and I had already seen another 3 halls and weren't really sold on any of them. Fox Hollow was on my list of MUST SEE reception halls from the very beginning.
Just like another posting said, as soon as we walked into the lobby I turned to FH and said 'this is it I know it' and he agreed. Then after seeing the WGP in person (we had only seen in on the website previously and fell in love with it from that picture alone) and talking to David about pricing and whatnot - we KNEW we couldn't leave without putting a deposit down.
In a word Fox Hollow is just PERFECT!

I did a lot of research and checked out a lot of websites before visiting any halls. FH was the first one I visited and as soon as I walked in the front door I fell in love. I even whispered to FH there is no way we are going to afford this place. I think they give you a lot for your money in the first place and I don't think it's all that unreasonable either.

Same exact thing for me. I love the outdoor feel and not having to worry about the weather.
