Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

where did you recent fox hollow brides have your rehearsal dinner/pre-wedding dinner?

ours won't really be a rehearsal since we're getting married at fox hollow, but my FILS are from out of town and keep asking us to give them a few choices.

it's got to be close to fox hollow (within 15 mins) since half of our guest list is coming in from 5+ hours away and will be staying at hotels in the area. TIA!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Quick for update for you guys. Hopefully, I'll get a full review out later.
Everything was FABULOUS!!! Cindy and Mike worked with me and my mother and I were noting that if we asked them to move the moon for us because we didn't like the reflection they probably would have found a way to do it.
All the service was great, we had a couple of broken glasses and stubborn guests that they deal with quickly and effectively.
We heard that the food was wonderful (I only had a couple of bites and instead enjoyed some quiet time with my DH at the sweethearts table).
We had one bit of miscommunication about a signature drink and they couldn't have been more apologetic and I would be willing to take the blame on that because I should have been more clear in my request.
The cake was perfect. In fact I just had a piece and even they day after it was great.
For the ladies staying at the Inn, they are re-doing all the rooms and the updated rooms look beautiful.
All and all a wonderful day, thanks to the great work of the Fox Hollow staff.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Hi Everyone,

I am a POTENTIAL FH bride, but have some questions:

the BM DAve said that we couldn't have the WGP room for cocktail hour if we chose the Garden Terrace--do you think I can negotiate that somehow?

ALSO, when do we get to do a food tasting? Is that when we book the place?

Thanks!!!

We had ours at Jackie Reilly's - in Bethpage...not far at all! Straight shot down 135!

There are a TON of places in Huntington village to check out. One place I am thinking about is FH Riley's. There are soooo many restaurants there, and all are within 10-15 mins from the Fox Hollow.

There are also a couple great places on Jericho Tpke near the Fox Hollow - The Inn Between Bar / Rest., Cafe Testarossa, Major's Steak House to name a few.

Good luck!

Congrats on being close to picking a hall!

Re using the WGP for your cocktail hour - I'm sorry, but it's very unlikely you'll be able to negiotiate this if they said no. Reason being: they operate like a very well oiled machine over there, and everything is timed perfectly. The reception in one room starts 1/2 after the reception in another - it's like that on purpose. And the WGP is probably being used when you want to use it - eother for a reception or someone else's cocktail hour (I am guessing it's the cocktail hour room for the briar fox room). IF no one is booked in that room when it gets close to your date, they may give it to you - but everything is so planned there, they can't move things around unfortunately. I wanted to have my wedding at a different time in the WPG, but there's no way they can change my time without messing up the whole schedule of the place.

Good luck!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

post has 2 purposes,

1. Bump from page 2

2. ask this

For girls who just had or are about to have and have decided on menus for the wedding,

Which stations did you go with for the Cocktail Hour? FH and I are starting to think about it, even though it may change, based on what they have available now. I was wondering what you all thought of the stations, which ones rock, which are ok, and which were not that popular.

Thanks in advance
