thanks ladies... we are inviting about 275 (possibly more) and im so afraid we'll actually have that many and worse it'll be tight
You'll be fine...we originally invited 275 and kept inviting almost up to 300 and we'll only be slightly over our 225 minimum. The room can hold 300, but I feel like it would be REALLY tight!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
WGP girls:I am having a problem with my list. FMIL wants to invite a few people she is 'sure' won't come. This will bring my list to 160, however, and the room holds 156. I am very, very concerned that NO ONE WILL SAY NO!!! And I'll have too many people for the room. What would happen then???
Another question - if the room holds 156 - which is 13 tables of 12 - does that mean that really, including FH and I at a sweetheart table, it holds 158?? That makes me feel a little better ... we were thinking about sitting at a table with friends, but I feel that's a little unfair (why does THOSE friends get to sit with us? How do we decide? Will people be upset?) and maybe, if we get very little no's, we won't be able to. Has anyone had this dilemma? Or asked about it?
TIA!

Aw Jenn I'm sorry you are going through this. I think we are only inviting like 130 max so I don't have to think about this. The people your FMIL wants to invite, are they really important to her? Why did she bring them up now and not sooner? I know I'm not much help since my wedding is the same day as yours hopefully someone who has had their wedding there can help you out! Sorry!

I have been asking her for a list for a while. Not before we picked the room, though - but it's not like i would have picked another room or RH if I knew our list would be larger than 156 ... I love the room and wouldn't have changed. But, the people she is inviting is her father's brothers and sisters and cousins, most of which are bedridden, she says. I am just a really nervous person, and I don't like taking anyone's word for it that they won't come!!! And, Fh and I are only inviting our first cousins. Not our parents' first cousins - ours. So if these people are his grandfather's cousins - i'm sorry, I don't even want to invite them!!! Fh explained this to his mom ... but I don't know how successful he was ... because she kept saying, but they aren't going to come, so just send an invite.
(I guess she wants them to feel wanted, and she says they will give nice gifts
anyhow ... )

has anyone had the chocolate chip cookies they have over at the Inn?
Frank brought FH and I over there the other day and the cookies were so good I've been craving another one ever since!
Are they just there? Like do they give them when you check in? I loooooove chocolate chip cookies!!!
They were in the like lobby lounge area during their dinner thing.
Yum.![]()
Oooh yum! Good to know! Kerri, are you staying there for your wedding too?
Yup. FH and I will be staying there the night of, and I'll be getting ready there in the morning too I think.

We had 120 at ours. 11 tables total. Most tables had 10-12 people. The tables of 12 were tight but doable. The table grid has the option for 13 tables plus a sweetheart table, so I think that the max is probably 158. My only concern about going up to the max is that the 12th and 13th table are on the dance floor a little bit and it might get a little crowded if everyone wants to get up and dance.
But I echo everyone else in that you are going to get some Nos, so I wouldn't worry too much.

ooooo do NOT let her do that!!!
MIL invited FIL's 'homebody cousin that barely leaves the house for grocery shopping' just to send the invite so she'd feel wanted (she's not too young - maybe late 50s).... I almost fell on the floor when she responded YES...and then she showed up with dyed platinum hair with PINK ENDS, an awful dress, and proceeded to hit on my percussionist all night!!!
So my advice is definitely DON'T CAVE!!!!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
It is 158 because 13 tables times 12 at a table is 156. then you and FH sit at the sweetheart table.I would highly advise sitting at the sweetheart table, it is the only chance for you and FH to be alone all day. We hardly even sat except for dinner, we didnt even have salads or the dessert cuz we were up dancing. we saw our friends, espeically our bridal party all day and on the dance floor. It was nice to have a calm moment to be able to eat our dinner together. plus people can easily come up to the talbe and talk to you, etc.
You will have at least a few no's...don't worry! I invited 170 for the WGP and ended up with around 120

I had the same problem!! I had been freaking out cus we invited 170 people!! And I wasn't sure we would have many no's. But we did and now we have about 144 people. So it worked out perfect in the end! And I wanted to sit with people, but its ending up easier wise cus of the seating to be at the dias. But I dont think people would be offended if you sat with people. I think its nice!

I believe 1, but each table has a waiter/waitress so they can get your guests drinks.
