Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

believe me - it's not an issue!!!!

They put out cordials and things like that after the cake is served....they put shots of liquors in little chocolate cups - that's all that's needed...

ugh, I wanted to ignore this policy until i absolutely had to but actually, I think most halls have this 'No-Shot' policy.

I think what you CAN do is let's say you wanted a shot of whiskey.....you can ask for a Jack & Coke with no Coke

....dunno what i'm going to do about getting my jager shots tho, it's kind of a shot only type of liquor.

oh well, i'll just bring my own bottle :lol

Does anyone know how the bridal suite at the inn at fox hollow differs from some of the other rooms? It looks like it's a one bedroom suite, not a studio, but I am not sure of the difference. I have a king studio booked for the night of my wedding but I may upgrade to the bridal suite .. TIA!

I took pictures! There are a few differences:

The bridal Suite has a door by the bedroom and the fabrics on the couch and lamps are different.

personally, I like the regular suites better.

That's it? Then I am sticking with my king studio. No need for the bridal suite even if they do put roses on the bed in the shape of a heart (that's how it is on their website). I personally think ythye should do this whenever they know a bride from the FH is staying there, that would be nice ... but as we have learned they do not throw things in for nothing. :) Thanks Jane!

I am actually SUPER HAPPY about this. My FH can handle a ton of beer but give him more than one shot of jack and he starts falling down. This is good for me.

Sorry for those of you who want it!

I do have to agree - i appreciated the no shots thing....and believe me - no one noticed & FH's friends are HEAVY drinkers...

Yeah the cordials set up at Jess' wedding was AMAZING. It takes up a lot of space in the WGP, I do have to say that. Maybe yours was big, Jess, because of the candy bar?

Does anyone know if the FH will allow someone to order a glass of just dewar's if they do not allow shots? I mean, it's still straight liquor but it's not meant to be SHOT. That is all my FH's grandfather drinks and bless us all if he cannot get it. We will have to keep a bottle for him in the bridal suite and bring it so he can put it under the table or something

Yeah. I think FH and his friends will notice right away - after they ask for a shot - but don';t think for a minute I am going to tell FH I know about this policy. He would start figuring out ways to get past it NOW.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I can't imagine them not allowing straight up drinks like Dewars scotch. That is the way it is typically served, you can email Jenn and make sure they have that brand, we did that for FH's Pop Pop to make sure they have Bombay Saphire Gin (they do)

The no shots policy ***** but I do understand it can get out of control when its all inclusive and its not like a regular bar where you at least have to wait on line and therefore there is some time between drinks.

Stinky though, I would love to do a celebratory shot with my bridal party

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

as far as the shots go...
Most places have a 'no shots' policy. but i've never had a problem with it b/c they will all give you liquor straight up, and most even give you an extra glass if you ask for one.
OR ask them to poor you the drink straight up and tell them 'when' most places have no problem giving you a 'double' and then, HEY! it's like two shots, for the 'price' of one lol

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

we had SHOTS, in shot glasses. In fact, we even had specialty shots like lemon drops..... our GM, Dads, and my DH were doing shots all night long.

To be honest...I'm iffy on this subject. I would like them to serve shots if people want it..but we didn't do shots at my brother's wedding and we were all drunk enough!!! So shots might just put my cousins over the edge!!
