okay i just talked to Ken about the room earlier today because my cocktail hour is there...
He told me the max he'd put in the Colonial Briar Fox is 170 with dancing. He said he could do 192 he just wouldnt want to be the last 12 people.
HOWEVER, their website says the room holds 208 with dancing.
SOOO
Since their site says the WGP holds 156 i'd assume it was less than that.

I told them i was INVITING 150 and they told me the WGP was too small for that, hence the CH being there and the reception being in the room next door.

Call them in the morning. Don't listen to Joan if she answers the phone, i swear she has no idea what she's talking about. Ken knows EVERYTHING and he's super helpful especially since his daugther is gettin married in June.

I've been dealing with the same exact problem. WGP maxes out at 156 specifically.

I had to cut people off too so I feel your pain

thats what i thought 13 tables x 12 people = 156 MAX

i hope!!

Try not to freak out before you talk to them...haha, because I freaked out about something hardcore, then I spoke to them and everything was ok. Give them a call, if they say 156, then its 156, they usually know what theyre talking about. Good luck though, and I hope you feel better about this. Its gonna be ok

anyone know the max that the winter garden pavillion holds??

i think i have too many on my list!!!

Minimum for me is 130 and they said max of 155- well they say 150, but said they can do 155 or 156 or something like that.

my reception is in there and Im having 150-156. Im inviting like 165 but many people are from out of town.

HI ALL! I am new to this forum and am also having my reception at the Fox Hollow. I am working with Ken who is super nice. My cocktail hour as it stands is in the WGP, when we booked Ken told us that the room was too small to have our reception (and when we booked we were working with 130)and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that room! which is why we are having the reception in the Briar Fox room. I am even tempted to shorten my list so that I can have the reception in the WGP. My main concern right now is that the ceiling might be too low in the Briar Fox room. Is anyone else using that room?

I do like the room, and as of right now our guest list is 154. And I do like the fact that the dance room is right in the center but my fear is if we use lights for the music that I don't want to feel closed in. even though width wise it seems fine. and I like the fact that we have an actual bar and not those cart ones. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the WGP, but the dance floor is just on one side which Im not sure if I love, although I LOVE the room, the windows the feel of it. I guess the ceiling really botherd you enough to shorten you list.. I am still on the fence about that, as of now I do have the WGP for my cocktail, but I haven't decided if I should switch

i was concerned about the ceilings as well, but in all honesty i'd rather have all the people who love and care about us there instead of high ceilings.

They have weddings in the Briar Fox all the time. They have lighting in there all the time. I was at a showcase and they had lighting in there that fit fine and would work with tables and everything too.
