If I am not mistaken, if you get your marriage license in one of the Boros in NYC, you only have to show your driver's license. Does FH have one? Or a NYS Non-Driver ID card?

thank you for responding!! he doesnt have a drivers license (could never get one bc of his status) but he does have his passport and SS card. do u think its safer if we stick to getting the license in queens??? oh man. he keeps telling me not to worry, that he knows what to do bc he has friends in the same boat who've done it, but i am really freaking out now. cant take any new stress

Honestly, I would not worry. I have a friend who married a man who was an illegal alien. They got their license in City Hall- Manhattan. I would definitely go to Queens to get your license though. LI seems to be a lot harder, wherein, you need to show more ID. Also, it is cheaper to get a license in the Boros. I think you save $5!! Don't stress! It will be fine!!
