So we have about 10K left in our budget and still so much to book. We still need:
Limos Entertainment Flowers Invites and Favors
I don't think we are gonna make it

Re: Freaking Out
Think of ways you can cut back on: Limo - is it necessary? Can you do towncars instead, REALLY shop around Invites - DIY - Michaels has some GORGEOUS options that could end up only costing you $100, it's just a matter of spending time doing it.
Skip favors - a lot of people aren't doing them anymore and instead do a donation to a cause that is important to you: FH & I are going to donate to the american cancer society.... The last few weddings we've been to haven't done favors and I can't tell you how happy we were not to have another nicknack that was just going to take up space in our apt.

Re: Freaking Out
There are tons of ways to stay within that budget. You just have to be creative. How bout DIY invites. I got mine from Michael's. There are always 40% coupons in the paper too. Invites cost us around $60.
There are a ton of DJ's who will work within you budget and not try and sell you things that you don't need. I.e. We are using FM Entertainment. I have total confidence in them, and when they found out we were having an afternoon wedding in a well lit room, they told us we shouldn't even bother with the different types of lighting. (This is what sold us. Another DJ said we should still get the lighting. Hello Mr DJ it is daytime, no one is going to notice lights on the wall)
Limos can be kind of expensive but think about it, there are a lot of things limo companies try to sell you that you don't REALL need (although you probably want) like a classic car.
And FLowers can be done on a budget! you just have to be flexible.
It will all work out as long as you roll with the punches.

Try Wedding World (I think it is in Commack) and they can get you a package deal.

Re: Freaking Out
You are fine! We are doing a donation favor ($2-$3 per guest, tax deductable- and the JDRF even gives us plate cards in our colors!).
We are getting our invites from 'her', and that is going to cost a whopping $550-$600.
Since we didn't have a bridal party, we are only getting a fancy schmancy car for us for a few hours. They are picking up Fh and his best man and dropping them at the church, then me, my mom, and my MOH, then taking me and FH to the reception, then sending a car to pick us up at the reception for $650 (cash)
My flowers are coming from B*u*r*t*o*n*s, and we aren't doing anything crazy (no tall ones, etc), but they came in under $1100.
Since we are having a day wedding with not a ton of people, we only have a 1 man show (emcee and DJ in one), for $600.
You will be fine! Just shop around and be serious with the vendors.

Re: Freaking Out
One of my friends did her whole wedding for 6k she saved money by doing one large limo that dropped the guys off then circled back for the girls.
Shop around for invites but I have seen simple ones in invitationconsultants.com and magnetstreet.com for under 300 for 100 invites/ response/ reception and I got pockets invites for 560 for 100. My friend got a cute kit from party city on sale and DIY.
Flowers try a local shop. Hidden Essence by Michelle used to have a low centerpiece package and bo ks etc for like 800
But also check some wedding centers I have seen packages when I went to shows that do packages of tux, limos, flowers, dj, photos, video for like 6-7k

Re: Freaking Out
P.S. I just ordered invites from David's Bridal with a 30% coupon for $380....the lady gave it to me bc I bought the bridesmaid's dresses there, but only brides who purchase their dress there get it. I told her I bought my dress and she gave it to me anyway. They normally have 20% off and free shipping all of the time (online), and I actually just saw invites on clearance for even less.

I agree with the girls you can totally do it. Do a donation favor - we are. But we are doing is making the donation after the wedding.
Limos - just get the simplest of what you need. I really played with what we needed to get the cheapest package.
Invites - DiY! The kits in michaels look beautiful!
Entertainment - All you need is a dj/mc package. you can find that for about 1200-1500 dollars.
Flowers - go with low centerpieces and use lots of candles. Candles add a huge effect and you can get them cheap from past brides or on internet sites.

These are all rough estimates, but you still come in way under 10K!

Re: Freaking Out
I wouldn't worry...There are great ways to have all your flowers and limos. Just cut back instead of getting an entire bouquet of roses get hydrangas as a filler.
And I agree with previous posts, get one limo, they pick up the guys first, then the girls. Chances are the girls will still be getting ready and taking pictures anyway.
I don't agree 100% with all the other posts. Although I don't like most favors from weddings and they usually end up in a drawer somewhere or in the garbage, I have some great unique ideas.
Favors: For my engagement party I did personalized chapstick. www.lipbalmexpress.com Starts at $60.00 (With shipping) for 100 tubes and you have the choice of colors, wedding art and scents.
We like the idea of personalized shot glasses from www.logobarproducts.com
We also love the personalized air freshners. There is actually a website and they are located right in East Islip. Reasonable pricing. We are spendng less than $500 on favors and I think air freshners are different.....
