Freaking Out-Help

Freaking Out-Help

I posted about this a couple weeks ago how I never heard from my photographer. I emailed her multiple times and she'd respond saying she'd get to me and hasn't. I emailed her last week asking for a time to talk and she said she had two weddings and would call me last Monday and never did. I was busy and kinda forgot about it and emailed her yesterday and called and still have not received a response. I just looked at her contract w/us and she wanted her final balance two wks prior to the wedding. We're getting married in 3 days and I dont know if I have a photographer at this point.

I am freaking out!

That is terrible. You should definetly call her today and don't let her put you off. Tell her 'no, she can not call you back later' you have to talk to her now as you are getting married in 3 days. There is no later. Don't worry, I'm sure it will all work out.

I totally agree! That's crazy!

If she has a studio or office it might be better to go there and talk to her face to face. If you are in person she will have no choice but to speak to you.

Good Luck!!

oh no!!!! that's horrible. I'm wondering if you can book someone else since she's being unresponsive.

Thanks, I am going to try to call again. She is own her boss and works outside of the city. There is no one else to go to but her. Ugh.

I am looking into other photographers now! I have to just see; this is ridiculous.

I hope everything works out this horrible. I know your photographer has a great reputation. Hopefully there is a misunderstanding on her part.

I am sure its just a misunderstanding, send her a text, email with all your concerns and call her.

My photographer is great, and doesn't book too many weddings (limits deliberately), maybe she's available. Let me know if you want her info.

Omg Im so sorry! I would just show up there ASAP....how far away is she from you? I hope everything gets cleared up soon!!!

If you can't get her on the phone, you should go down to her office asap. Make sure she knows that your wedding is this weekend, and that you must speak to her immediately.

In the mean time, call around and see if you can get anyone else. Not sure where you are, but there are a few very reputable photog's in the Nassau area that I know of:
Duet (we are using, I have heard nothing but good things)
Silverfox
Thomas Paul
Proline

There are others also. Don't panic just yet, you have time to work this out. Good luck!

PS-
Just thought of this. You should leave her a message saying that 'If I don't hear from you by 3pm today, I will assume that you are no longer my photographer and book with another vendor'. If that doesn't get her to call you, I don't know what will. Good luck!

that's incredibly unprofessional. i do think you shouldn't panic, you have time to find someone else. i'd take other girls suggestions and ask around, it can't hurt to do that. and definitely go down to her office and demand a meeting. it'll all work out, but i'm so sorry you're dealing with this situation so close to your wedding. it will all work out though, don't panic!!! do you have someone like FH, a parent, friend that can help you in this situation and give you some support, and help maybe in calling etc?

Life can't be that cruel!!! Hopefully she is just busy and it will work out, though this is s huge stress days before your wedding!

Ugh I'm so sorry you have to deal with this three days before your wedding. I agree that you should definitely be forceful and demanding next time you call and threaten to walk away. Hopefully she's just being really lax but is still very much planning to be there on time and ready to go for your wedding day! Good luck!

Thanks everyone! Oddly enough she called me very shortly after writing this. No apology or anything and sounded kind of frazzled. The person I emailed as a backup to see if they were available is and I am honestly toying with the idea of switching.

Isnt that always what seems to happen? When you're about to get rid of something or someone, they end up calling lol.

There is nothing wrong with cancelling with her. Did she have an explaination as to why she didnt call you back?
