FREE! W/PIC!! Does anyone want a pure bred show dog quality female whippet?

Original post by N.Y.bride

My parents are for the first time in their lives talking of giving away a pet. She is brindle and a year and a half old.

My parents are both retiring and I think she is just TOO MUCH work for them. We have another whippet but she is much older and well trained.. this one is house trained, but shes just a little wild - I guess because shes still young, but shes too much for them.

So just in case they decide to I was wondering if anyone was interested. She is pure bred show dog quality.

Heres a pic of Indy!

Thank you! I do not have the energy! Yesterday she stuck her head between the slots of the new fence and got it stuck. There I was 9 months pregnant in my pajamas at 6:30 in the morning digging a hole out under the fence to squeeze her head out!

Awww I would LOVE to take her, but our apartment is just way to small for a dog (esp an energetic one)... plus we have no backyard or anything. I really wish we had a bigger place!!!! I hope you find her a good home... she is too sweet.

FH & I both work about 80 hours a week so no one would be home to take care of her . She is beautiful! Good luck - I hope you find a very happy home for her!

aww, whippets are greats dogs. puppies, of course, are always going to be energetic-- but once they are adult, they are EXCELLENT dogs and FH and I, one day when we have a yard, would love to own one. right now, we have a mini schnauzer and (at ten pounds) that's just enough for our limited living space... she is a great dog, beautiful and i really hope you find her a good home. i'll spread the word-- i would try posting pics and fliers around (grocery stores, libraries, etc) and i would also try posting at shelters a flyer with her info on it...

GOOD LUCK

Yes, they are excellent dogs. She is the 6th whippet I have had throughout my lifetime. Weve never had to give one away. My parents are just too old and busy for a pup though. They havent spent as much time training her and I get stuck with her every weekend and its really not fair, so Im glad they agreed to find her a good home.
