However Friday is never Friday for me... since I work Saturday Early!!!! YUCKO!!!!
As i'm stuffing envelopes, my dad freaked out over the # of guests on the final list. Which is 211 give or take. My dress was reasonable, we lied to him about the price.
Is anyone else lying to mom or dad about prices? AM i the only one who's dad has no concept of how many people they know in addition to family? And absolutely no concept of the cost of things!!?

We are not getting any help from our parents. I have consistently stated if they wanted ANY say in ANYTHING that they could put up or shut up.
I know that's not nice, but if you had to deal with the whining of a certain someone, you'd say that too!!

Nope...we're paying for the wedding so its our own money to spend. no reason for us to lie.

it's not so much that i'm LYING to my dad about prices, as just he gave me a budget and my mom told me that i should basically keep it in mind, but not really worry about specifically sticking to it....oh, and she said that obviously the budget doesn't include tips, because those will happen on the day-of and he won't notice it.

My parents are paying for the reception, invites and my dress...so no lying there. But I wouldnt really lie about anything. They know how much this stuff costs...and they understand why I'm spending it. My Dad actually thinks the more you spend the better it must be. lol
