So confused about what to do with pictures. Looks like church is at 3:30 CH starts at 7. The reception location is like an hour away from chruch and sun sets at like 6pm!! What do to for pictures. Any ideas?

I too am getting married on a friday with the same time church and CH. Sorry, wish I can help. We are taking pic's at the church then at the hall. the hall is only about 15 min from the church.
where is the church? maybe a park nearby or a pier

We are doing pictures at an indoor ecology center. This way, we know there's light and no rain!

Well my FH and I are having our pictures done before the ceremony. We too are getting married on a Friday, but we are having our reception at the church.

We had pics before the ceremony. It worked out so well. We were not rushed and had great shots.

My wedding is the week before yours and it doesn't really get dark till around 7pm that time of year, so you should have time.

I am having a 3pm Friday wedding also, and will be taking pictures at the church in addition to the hall. I am sure there is a park or public gazebo in route from the church-hall. If we have time, we are going to take a few at the Garden City gazebo...free of charge!! ha Good Luck!

My ceremony is at 3, and I am having a mass and then with pictures and all we're hoping to be on our way to WM at 4:30. The cocktail hour starts at 6:30pm, but we want to start taking family pictures at 5:30-6:30 and then relax and enjoy our cocktail hour.
Maybe you can bump up your ceremony at 3pm?

I am 3 weeks before you, with the same timeline, but on a Saturday.
Where is your church? If it is west of HWC, maybe you could go to Stonybrook Village and the Stonybrook docks- there is a beach there, too. This is what I wa sleaning towards, because we want beach pics, and I LOVE the village pics. Here are a few pics form there:

Are you taking pictures at the hamelt too? I would like some pictures with the golf course and everything but am worried about it getting dark to quick. I'd rather not see my FH before the wedding.... I still have some time to figure all this out though.

I think you have plenty of time, no need to take photos before the ceremony. ItsLaurie is right, the light at dusk, on the HWC golf course will be real nice. I may do some pics there, with people that wont be at the other locations with us- cousins, etc.

Sunset is much later than that. My wedding is a month after yours and sunset on our day is scheduled for 6:24 PM. Our ceremony is at 3:00, CH starts at 7, and the reception is an hour away. We are doing pics at our ceremony location immediately following. We should be getting in the limos by 5 PM to get to reception location to take dusk pictures between 6 & 6:30, and then 1/2 hour in bridal suite before the fun starts.

church will be done by 5:30, some pics at church and then go to CHCC for more pics.. CH starts at 7:30pm..I'm getting nervous too with the minimal light.. oh well...

I'm taking pics at Cedar Beach in Miiler Place (I think) before going to the Hamlet to take pics there. My church is at 4 and the CH starts at 7. Every photographer says I will have enough time to get to the Hamlet by 6:15 to take pics with the Bridal party and family there so we won't miss our CH.
