Friday Wedding .....

I think you should do whatever is within you & your FH's budget and what will make the two of you happy. As many people on the boards have said you have to follow whats right for you.

It was VERY important to me to have a Saturday Evening wedding so we had to give up on certain RHs because 1. it was wayyyy too much $$$$ or 2. b/c we didn't meet the minimum amount of people.

But in the end it all worked out b/c I ended up finding the place of my dreams in Douglaston Manor.

So just stick to being true to what you want and not worrying about traffic or people taking off from work.

Don't worry at all about having a Friday wedding date. It's the perfect day, you're right it's a great way to save too!!! I feel that for the people that don't come to our wedding because it's on a friday and they don't want to go out of their way to share that special; day with us, then those are the people we don't want there anyway! Also I am learning something really quick... I have to stop worrying about what other people want or hurting people's feelings in the process of planning my wedding because this is my wedding!!!! not their's!!!!! Because I am stressing about other people's feelings and not worrying about my own.
In the end, do what is best for YOU - don't base your decisions on other people. I am giving everyone lots of notice that it will be a Friday, and as far as I can tell most people are psyched for it! except of course for my FMIL... A lot will take a 3 day weekend, or leave work early that day. I think in the end it doesn't matter when you hold it, because if people are going to bail on you, they'll do it no matter when the wedding is. hope I helped!!!

ETA: I do agree with trying and chaging your CH to 8:30 thats the time I chose also!
