I think friday weddings are great. I am having a friday wedding myself. Everyone I am talking to is telling me they prefer fridays because then they still have the whole weekend to themselves.
My friend had a Friday the 13th wedding and it was awesome! Definitely not an inconvenience. Everyone knew well enough in advance to either get out of work early or just to take off.
my friend is getting married on a friday and even though it ***** that I have to take off of work to go to her wedding I am still really excited to see her get married and wouldn't miss it for the world
We are a Friday and I have been to a lot of Friday weddings. I think the only thing is some people will not be able to make your ceremony. But the people closest to you will be there.

our wedding is on a Friday too. i couldn't justify paying that much more for a Saturday to just end up with the same exact thing. our church is at 2:30 & CH starts at 7.
to ensure that we wouldn't have too many no's because its a Friday we sent out our STD a year in advance, instead of the usual 9 months before. most family & friends have already told us that they put in for our wedding day off at work. we don't expect everyone to do that but we do appreciate the gesture.
i am sure that who ever wants to be at Church will be there no matter what. FH is an only child so his family is very excited. in my family my brother got married 8 years ago & my cousin got married 4 years ago & everyone is equally as excited.
the biggest complaint came from my niece when we told her she has to miss a day of school because of the wedding.![]()

I actually think Friday weddings are really cool... I think of it as the modern/chic day to have a wedding! I did not mind having one to save some money but my parents really wanted a saturday night and they're paying soooo they get what they want! lol My only concern would be less people at the ceremony but the most important people will be there no matter what!!
I am having a Friday wedding as well, I thinks its fantastic! At my wedding venue, Fridays are only one wedding at a time so its great!!!
My wedding is on a Friday. Like many others I could not justify the extra money for a Sunday. We actually decided on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Many people have off on that day anyways we figured. We don't have many OOT guests so traveling to see family for the holiday should not be an issue. We have our fingers crossed everything works out. I am excited to have a Friday wedding and then 2 days to recover!
i like friday weddings mine is a sunday but my family loves to party and most of my other friends are on summer break or off from work so they dont mind
I think it is totally fine
As someone who is an OOT guest most of the time, it is a little inconvenient for me to travel for a wedding. I would probably only go to the reception and show up a little late but that's me.
