Ha LadyReeRee the posts here are very convincing! I am excited now for all these reasons and it is true people can party more because they most likely won't have a flight to catch the next day! :)

Feeling very relieved now, I think this is the right decision. JBN81012 I am in love with the Royalton and I have heard they don't really negotiate much.

If I think about it, I wouldn't mind taking the day off work even if I had to travel so hopefully my guests feel the same. They certainly will have enough notice. Thanks again!

If you love the Royalton, check out the Woodlands! I thought the same thing and couldn't swing it financially for peak season. I ended up falling even more in love with the Woodlands which was more affordable too.

Friday Weddings

I had a Friday wedding and had 200 people. Only 35 no responses so I guess people didn't have an issue with it being a Friday. Our ceremony started at 630 and most people were there in time for that

Friday Weddings

I am having a Friday wedding and I don't see it being an issue. As many of the other girls said, people have more time to recover (as opposed ro just one day) and if you have an evening ceremony, most people will be able to leave work a little early to make it! My ceremony doesn't start until 7:30, so I dont forsee it being an issue. YAY for Friday weddings! :)

Friday Weddings

Since I was a little girl I always wanted a Saturday wedding so the entire day was dedicated to me. I've since been to many weddings and a bunch of Friday weddings as well. When FH and I started planning I still wanted a Saturday wedding, but there was definitely a financial aspect to deciding on a Friday wedding. The wife of a close friend ragged on me a little bit until she realized that it's the day after 4th of July. She gave me a little bit of a hard time about that as well but WHATEVER! So it's a Friday AND a holiday. Oh well you can't please everyone all of the time. I'm super excited!!

Is anyone having a Sunday wedding? I am having mine on a Sunday because it is cheaper. I figured those that love us will be able to take off Monday if need be!
