I have been watching this since it started. I know most of you are probably watching the yanks though.
I must say that Bush looks unbelieveably strong this debate... he is looking much better now than he did the first debate.
I said that the first debate was a draw... but I think even the general public is going to think Bush won this one.
I could be wrong. But he definitely looks a lot better.

He was asked point blank to name three mistakes and I heard him name none. I just watch that segment again and he named NONE. He said that people down the road might say he made amistake and he would own that, but he DID NOT answer that question with one mistake.
If you just watched it again... didn't you hear him say that he shouldn't have hired some of his (REPUBLICAN) aides? Were we watching the same debate?
Hell... I was mad surprised he even said that. That makes him look pretty bad because it shows that he surrounded himself with people that couldn't get the job done. This is the total opposite that the public originally thought when he was first elected (that they felt he did hire good people).
I'm not mad he said it. He was totally right. I originally thought he had a good cabinet too. But as time went on we saw that some of them (Cheney, Rice, Ashcroft and Rumsfeld are the first ones to come to my mind) were not advising him properly. The way I see it is that it's not all Bush's fault. It should but I think he let too many people make decisions for him or sway him into making certain decisions. But he should have said something about the WMD when the lady asked name 3 mistakes. Sure he mentioned it in the beginning but he should have mentioned it again at that point. And even though I do'nt think the invasion of Iraq was entirely Bush's fault, he is the President and is ultimately the one responsible to the nation for the WMD mistake.
I think he did better than last week but of course he did considering all the criticism after the last debate. But the debates so far have not changed my mind.

Re: Friday's debate
Not for nothing, but I watched this debate and the first one, and I think they're both liars and I think they will both tell us exactly what they think will get them elected. I have zero trust in politicians. I mean, Bush doesn't give two sh!ts what we want, he doesn't even care what he says because he's going to do whatever the hell he wants anyway, and why should Kerry waste time explaining his plan when he probably won't carry it out if elected anyway? I think we should forgo the stupid debates and decide the election with a dance-off, I mean really, they never do what they say they're going to do anyway.

I think the right to life questions really showed Bush's true colors- and as a woman- I could never, ever vote for him.. not when he wants to impose his born again Christian morality on me. I think Kerry made a good point... what if you are Jewish? Agnostic? Why does all moraltiy have to be Christian? Why is it that specific live of aborition/spem cells from frozen embryos are so important when all the inmates in Texas he killed aren't? I just think it really speaks to his twisted nature/righteousness... one life is more important than another- it really bothers me.
