Friends of the Groom

Original post by rojerono

Does you FH have any friends that you just DO NOT LIKE.

FH kind of lost touch with most of his 'friends' after we moved in to the new house. His one friend tried to convince him that I had gotten pregnant to 'trap' him. He also used to take him out to clubs and point out other 'hot chicks' that FH could 'bang' if he were still single.

Now I totally trust Rob, but I cannot stand this friend. And apparently he has managed to track us down again. I heard FH on the phone with him the other night telling him 'Dude, I have 2 kids and a house now... I just don't DO stuff like that anymore!' So it is pretty evident the *** is still an ***.

FH asked if we can have this idiot over for dinner next week. I don't want to ... but I feel like I have to because he is like the only friend he still has from years ago. I know dinner will lead to... 'Hey let's go to the pub and play pool....'

What would YOU do?

hmm - you might just have to s&&uck it up. get a plain cheese pizza and call it a night. this way you don't have to cook and you didn't spend more than 20 bucks to feed them. they don't deserve it!!!

Re: Friends of the Groom

I have had a similar but not the same issue. one of FH friends from before me has tried to get with all of his friends but from what I hear not with my FH. However when I met the girl every time I left to use the bathroom she was all flirty with him. trying to move his hand to her body to 'feel her muscles' and my friends that were there and reported back to me. So here is my advice I told him that this person is disrespecting me and my relationship with FH. I told him that I will never tell him who he can and can't hang out with just as he can't tell me. However I will not hang out with this friend of his and that she is not welcome in our home because it would be an insult to me and I won't tolerate it. Considering the skank wife it is a similar situation. so good luck and by the way my Fh has not seen or talked to this friend anymore becaus he realised that our relationship is more important and the friend was not respecting that.

I would end up biting the bullet and inviting him over-even though he's a moron. My FH has a friend like this-and he is going to be his BM at his wedding this year. He is just such an idiot-selfish, rude, careless......just an all around jacka$$.
