Frustrated!!

My boss just came in my office and said that he invited one of our vendors to my wedding!!

I could not believe this!! I'm actually pretty close to her, but she lives in Canada,(vancouver) and I did not have her on my guest list.

Now I felt guilty because she did send me a wedding gift already when I told her I was getting married. (I thanked her and sent her a thank you card). So I just sent her an email and asked her for her address because I kind of feel like I'm stuck.

I cannot believe the audacity of my boss to do that!

Wow what right does your boss have to invite people to YOUR wedding. I would say something and I would be pissed.

Yeah, that is completely out of line, very unprofessional, and actaully quite baffling. Who the does this guy think he is??? lol. It is probably uncomfortable but I think it definitely warrants a talk.

I would think that if this vendor had any sense that she would know that any kind if real invite would come from you and not your boss.

If I were you I wouldn't even contact this person and tell your boss that its totally rude.

If you don't address it w the person then they have no reason to expect an invite, and if they question it later just tell them politely it's just for friends and fanily

I already sent the email to the vendor because I feel like I'm stuck and have no choice but to invite her :/, and she did give me a really generous gift so I kind of feel bad.

But I am having a talk w/ my boss tomorrow. I already spoke to my other boss and asked him to please not speak about my wedding to everyone (he talks about it like it's his own wedding) because I'm not inviting everyone in the office.

It's nice that they are excited, but that was just ridiculous.

no matter whether you invite her or not you need to seriously put your boss in his place. you can't get in trouble or anything he shouldn't be speaking on your behalf and if I was your FH I'd probably be pissed at well. that's crazyyyy I would make sure NOT to invite my boss that's for sure!!!
