Fun question: Who cooks & how often?

Also does your husband ever cook?

I know basic stuff but I'm trying to be creative. I 'experiment' about 3 days a week.

I hate cooking, but am trying to learn to like it by the time I hit 'mommy time'. So I have been trying to cook on weekends. FH cooks sparingly even though he knows how to.

Funny you should ask that, FI is cooking dinner for both of us right now. We both like to cook, but with our schedules it is hard to. Our New Years resolution is to eat more at home, especially for the fact that we are both on WW and want to save some money!

FI can barely open a can of soup by himself . I've just about gotten him to the point that he can boil pasta (although last time he did, he put so little water in the pot, that the pasta starch absorbed it all ).

I cook about 5 nights a week. I stay at home all day so its the least I could do for FH when he gets home from working. I got 3 new cookbooks for x-mas... think someone was trying to tell me something?

My FH is VERY good at telling me what I might be doing wrong or what I should add...but if you put any type of cooking utensil in his hand he looks at it with this glazed look in his eyes like he has NO IDEA what to do with it

I'm learning but I can't see how I will come up with creative dinner ideas 7 nights a week so I told him his mommy will miss him and he must visit her for dinner 3 times a week

I do all of the cooking ... I work from home so it's easier for me to do the cooking and have it ready when he gets in. He cooks breakfast though on the weekends.

My DH is a meat and potato man....so I can't be too creative

oh boy, am i bad. i am a vegetarian and FH doesn't like half of what i make. we are also trying to start cooking more at home (we probably order in 3-4 x a week ) oh well. i am simply lacking practice...........

FH cooks very well, but not often, so it is probably take out again tonight! i think the biggest problem is the prep time. when i get home at 8 i want to eat right then!!!!! and i don't feel like chopping, stirring or waiting even though FH gets home first, i usually cook during the week. it sure would be nice if i arrived home and dinner was ready once in a while! kptoys, does your man know how lucky he is!?

I'm a vegetarian myself and a bit squeemish cleaning and cooking chicken & steak but I'm trying. A for effort but c- for the final product...heheheheh. I've burned so many dishes.

It doesn't help that my husband is a great cook. He's taught me a few dishes and I'm getting better but it's difficult, when you get home at 8pm almost every night.

Betty - I hear ya! FH can only make omelets on Sunday mornings and sometimes at night if I am REALLY sick!

He keeps saying he would cook if he took a class. Guess what his next gift's gonna be!!

Cook how do you do that? My fh cooks more than I but I think he actually enjoys it. I on the other hand enjoy eating

Good idea April!! Unfortunately my FH has NO DESIRE to cook. He definately could if he even tried for one second. I told him he MUST learn how to at least cook breakfast!!!

I really HATE to cook & FH knows it but I don't mind cooking for him as much because he eats ANYTHING & never complains!

FH also cooks alot. He also makes breakfast for us almost every Saturday.

I learned how to cook when I was a kid and cooked all the time when I lived with my mother. Then I moved out left all that behind me.

FH cooks most of the time but after a while he gets all cranky about it so I have to volunteer once every two weeks just to keep him happy.

I work at a culinary school, but I don't cook :-)

my FH cooks all the time and he is is cute when he tries to be fancy and gourmet.
he is also a fireman and then all know how to cook for some reason.

If we actually eat home, then I cook. Then it's either chicken cutlets, tacos or pasta. And burgers on the grill in the summer!

I am the one that cooks the most since I usually get home earlier than he does. We eat in pretty much every night of the week except for Fridays and Saturdays. But I'm so glad that my FH knows how to cook!

Rob cooks about 4-5 nights a week - 1 night is fend for yourself night and the others are take in or go out. lucky me!! he's a great cook and he enjoys it too.
