Okay, this is NOT meant to attack anyone who may have any of these things on their registries... but I was curious to know if anyone else has found some really funny things on registries.
I'll even start with our OWN registry -- b/c FH scanned a $35 mortar and pestal and Crate & Barrel as a joke - and I now refuse to take it off! We also have a wine fridge on there we're sure we won't get -- and I'm sure many find that strange.
I was just looking at a few registries for OOT people we know who are getting married very soon. They registered for 8 tablecloths -- all the same size and color.
I've also seen a couple registered for 4 complete bedding sets at two different stores (nope, no kids and no house - just a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with no plans to move - and they still live in that apartment!) Nothing wrong with registering at more than 1 store, but I guess they plan to change the look of their bedroom often!
My favorite, though, was a $79 (yes $79) single pillar candle I found on someone's registry! Just a plain white pillar candle - for $79!
I sooooooooo deserve to get the mortar and pestle as a wedding gift from someone after starting this post!
ETA - But I do mean for this to be light-hearted and not an attack. I'm sure many people would laugh at our own registry!

i have an ice cream maker and its totally worth it, it does cost a lot more for the ingredents, but the taste.. theres nothing like it!!!

We totally have an ice cream maker on our registry. I've made ice cream once in girl scouts, but FH has made it tons of times at home. (It's actually the ice cream maker attachment to our KitchenAid mixer).
FH is so excited about it!
I want the ice cream maker attachment to my Kitchen-Aid! FH says not to bother putting it on our registry though and that he'll just buy it, but I kinda want to put it on.

We put down a wine refrigerator on our registry too--partly because FH wants one, but also to see if anyone would even get it for us.
I know someone who put on 3 percolators--all the same size on her registry.
We put a wine fridge on and got it!!!
And my friend put a couch!!!

We had some weird stuff on our registry...only because I left FH in charge of the scanner and everytime I turned my back he would scan weird things. I didnt know until we got the printout!!!! I had to spend an hour removing all the crazy stuff he put on there!!

I put a pink iPod shuffle on mine, then I felt guilty and took it off. And I put a Roomba on there, just because I'd love to see what happens when Agatha--that's Agatha in the picture--meets her nemesis, the vacuum that's HER size. (She hates the big vacuum with a burning fiery passion.) I don't think anyone's actually going to buy the Roomba.

People list things like couches because after the wedding you can often get a deal--a discount, sometimes--on the items that weren't bought. You don't expect the couch, but you can then buy it afterwards for cheaper. Or you can return items for credit and use them towards the couch. Or, you never know, a bunch of people might chip in and buy the couch.

I dont have anything strange on my registry, yet. But my one friend had a kayak on her online registry. She is crazy like that though! This girl has never lifted a finger in her life and is a little princess and I dont even know if she knows what a kayak is....the best part is, she knew she was moving 3 weeks after her wedding to Las Vegas where there is absolutely NO water so no kayaking! She is crazy!

ok heres 1 - why does someone need to register for a 9 ounce mug when a regular size comes with a place setting???
i myself registered for lenox opal innocece, but 9 oz mug is ridiculous!
I saw a post on here about someone's friend who registered for 75 bath towels, because she and FH each use 3 towels per day, and they don't want to have to do laundry all the time. Wait until that couple has kids!!
hahah omg that is ridiculous..My FH wants to register for a plasma tv because usually whatever you register and you dont get the store gives you 20% off if you buy it within a certain time after your wedding haha

She said are you kidding me? We need Stainless for everyday, red for winter,pink fo spring and this cool brown color for fall!! Then he looks at her and she goes oh I want a white for summer!
Who in gods name would register for that many mixers! She rolled her eyes and walked away! I looked up and said well I heard you say Betty...hope her last name is Crocker! He started to laugh and hes like for real...sad part is she doesnt even know how to boil water nevermind bake me some cookies!!
I wish I knew her last name...id love to see if they are still on there!!
WOW!! Is all I have to say about that!! And FH thought I was bad because I wanted ONE purple mixer instead of a normal color one!!

my friend and i laughed for months about something our other friend put on her registry - it was a banana hammock for ripening fruit. i don't know what was funnier - the picture of the bananas 'relaxing' in the hammock or the fact that 'banana hammock' is an excellent slang term for a Speedo!

FH and I both want to register for a plasma too! But I can't find a place that I can register for it at!
