Okay, this is NOT meant to attack anyone who may have any of these things on their registries... but I was curious to know if anyone else has found some really funny things on registries.
I'll even start with our OWN registry -- b/c FH scanned a $35 mortar and pestal and Crate & Barrel as a joke - and I now refuse to take it off! We also have a wine fridge on there we're sure we won't get -- and I'm sure many find that strange.
I was just looking at a few registries for OOT people we know who are getting married very soon. They registered for 8 tablecloths -- all the same size and color.
I've also seen a couple registered for 4 complete bedding sets at two different stores (nope, no kids and no house - just a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with no plans to move - and they still live in that apartment!) Nothing wrong with registering at more than 1 store, but I guess they plan to change the look of their bedroom often!
My favorite, though, was a $79 (yes $79) single pillar candle I found on someone's registry! Just a plain white pillar candle - for $79!
I sooooooooo deserve to get the mortar and pestle as a wedding gift from someone after starting this post!
ETA - But I do mean for this to be light-hearted and not an attack. I'm sure many people would laugh at our own registry!

I dont have anything strange on my registry, yet. But my one friend had a kayak on her online registry. She is crazy like that though! This girl has never lifted a finger in her life and is a little princess and I dont even know if she knows what a kayak is....the best part is, she knew she was moving 3 weeks after her wedding to Las Vegas where there is absolutely NO water so no kayaking! She is crazy!

We have Star Wars Pez dispensers on our registry.....FH had the gun & I wasn't watching him People have mentioned it to me & just laughed assuming it was him I laugh cause it comes up under the heading 'Food' on our registry !

We have an automatic card shuffler on ours.... and we don't even really play cards that often. FH wanted it and it wasn't worth the argument. It can be returned, right?

This is from my own registry and we actually got it.
FH made me register for one of those over sized wine glasses (one glass) was $100. He wouldn't let me delete it either. And his very good friend (I call them long lost twins) because they are sooo much alike made his girl friend buy it for my shower. When I opened it up I couldn't stop laughing because of who had gotten it for us. Later he said he knew it was the only thing FH registered for.

I was at BBB and the girl next to me was talking and I heard her say I want a Kitchen Aid Mixer. Ok thats fine what bride doesnt?! So then I walk away....I happen to be in that area a few mins later and I see her scan 1 Stainless,1 Red,1 Pink,1 brown/orange
Her FI says Betty what are you doing? She says I told you I must get this! He said 1 is fine but 4???
She said are you kidding me? We need Stainless for everyday, red for winter,pink fo spring and this cool brown color for fall!! Then he looks at her and she goes oh I want a white for summer!
Who in gods name would register for that many mixers! She rolled her eyes and walked away! I looked up and said well I heard you say Betty...hope her last name is Crocker! He started to laugh and hes like for real...sad part is she doesnt even know how to boil water nevermind bake me some cookies!!
I wish I knew her last name...id love to see if they are still on there!!

these are such funny posts.. after the BBB mixer i cant beat that but my FH and I were in fortunoffs arguing about the silverware he wanted to register for, the ones to go with the china, till a amn who worked there came over and said, yeah no one has ever registered for those, i said see now give me the gun... there freak*ng fish!!!! with fins and all
When we registered for our sterling silver flatware, the women at Macys were like, 'NO ONE EVER opens that case!'
They were shocked we were registering for it.
Sterling silver, good china, and crystal glassware were my three MUST haves.

We put down a wine refrigerator on our registry too--partly because FH wants one, but also to see if anyone would even get it for us.
I know someone who put on 3 percolators--all the same size on her registry.
We had a wine fridge on ours and our good friend & her mom got it for us at our shower since she knew how much we like wine. I love it. Its nice to be able to have such easy access to wine at the right temperature.

yeah, that's unfortunate... I love when people register for 3k of kitchen stuff, and don't know how to make an omlette... One of my friends did that. She asked for about 4k of china, and 3k of kitchen equipment, and 6 years later she still can't fry a chicken cutlet! She hates cooking... (What is she going to serve on that china????)
I vaguely recall sitting at her shower and thinking 'hey, those pots should go to me! At least I'll use them!'
I recall pleading with her to modify her registry and add more things she would actually use.... but she just got carried away with that gun at fortunoffs ...

I registered for this ice cream cone holder at BBB. It's only 14 bucks and I am really depressed because it is out of stock! My MOH was like 'what's up with the ice cream cone holder?'

My FH registered for a 'Creme Brule torch'. He wants it just because it is a mini blow torch!! Pretty silly but it made him happy through the registry process so we kept it on!

FH had the gun and put on an ice cream maker and a chocolate fountain....ok, I can see the chocolate fountain cause it's kind of different but an ice cream maker????? It costs a lot more for the ingredients to make the ice cream than going to stop and shop and buying a half gallon for $1.99 on sale!!!!!
Funny thing is....that's the first engagement gift we got!!!!!!!!!

We totally have an ice cream maker on our registry. I've made ice cream once in girl scouts, but FH has made it tons of times at home. (It's actually the ice cream maker attachment to our KitchenAid mixer).
