So the past few weekends FH and I have had our furniture delivered and it has been nothing but bad luck ever since! I have been trying to stay positive but yesterday was the icing on the cake!! Our china closet/curio is bigger than our standard size door so we can't get it in and now I have no other option but to pay a restocking fee!! The best part is they also sent me the wrong dining chairs!! Yesterday we had our mattress delivered and I need a ladder to get on my bed it so high!! Lol!!! I wasn't aware that a low profile bed meant a 5 inch difference in the box spring and now they want to charge me to throw out a brand new box spring and to pay full price for a new one! I tell you I now understand the meaning of when it rains it pours!!

Thanks! I am gonna end up losing and spending more money but the furniture place has been very accomodating up until the restocking fee!! I am trying to dispute it because they sent me the wrong chairs!!

Re: furniture frustrations
YES I would see if they would waive the restock fee since they sent you the wrong chairs. Good luck

how much bigger is your china closet. Sometimes there are ways to do it. Depending on your door and again not always an easy option but have seen it done, is taking the hinges off the door, it helps with space. ALso do you live in a house or building? if you live in a house by any chance do you have real big windows, some ppl have those real big front windows and get it in like that. And is the china closet all one piece. For my old apartment my dad bought the HUGEST entertainment center, there was no way it would fit through the door, not even half of it would fit lol. They had to take it apart which was a pain but they did it

Re: furniture frustrations
Thanks for the help! We tried every option and its the way the ceiling is in the entrance way that prevents it from turning in!! My other and only option would be to go through the window, but FH is reluctant to do it for fear of damaging something!! We were told to refuse it at delivery because the movers couldn't get it in!! We even tried through the garage and for some reason the built this piece 2 inches bigger than a standard door size!! Who would have known to measure the entrance!! We were so focused on the dining room area. FFIL says to have them bring it back and leave it and he will find a a way, but I'm afraid of the damage that could be caused!!

Lesson learned for sure!! I just can't understand why it can't come apart?? The doors to the damn thing weren't even on!! FH is now on his way to get new box springs!! I feel so bad! He was so excited to have everything finished and he couldn't believe what luck we had!!
