Re: future brides please DON'T

thanks guys. for gracejilly, yes that's the reason, unless you gently say that you didn't like your vendor, they will delete it if they feel it's 'bashing' - and I really can't gently say how much I didn't like these people!

Re: future brides please DON'T

A friend of mine recommended them to me and now I am looking for a new photographer. Her photos were great but her video was amateur-ish.

AND they lost half the footage for the wedding. They missed the cake cutting, the parent dances, the garter and bouquet.

The worst part is not that they screwed up, but that they did not tell them that they messed up. My friend was hysterical when she watched her video and wondered where the rest was. They said that there was a problem when they sent it out.

What a mess!

Re: future brides please DON'T

oh goodness...I amgetting my video next week and I hope it is not bad!! I have to say though that the video guy seemed so nice and effecient, he was not obtrusive, but he was always around. I'm glad this post came back up because it gives me another chance to say that I have come to realize that the company I used itself I think was good, the people are really nice and accomodating, and a lot of the albums they have looked very nice - the problem I had was with my specific photographer, and they have since fired him.

Re: future brides please DON'T

FI said we can do without flowers for centerpieces as no one remembers centerpieces (we're doing floating candles), we're having his mom do the pew decorations, and we're doing simple in season flowers, but we both agreed the video and photo we will not skimp on. We set a budget and we're going to do our homework and research and ask questions before we make any final decisions, but what we agreed on is we would not compromise on video and photo. We dont need filet mignon, swordfish, lobster tails, etc...but our video and photo will be ours forever.

Re: future brides please DON'T

very smart way to approach things! I actually made my own centerpieces for about $15 each using candles. I'm sure your centerpieces will be just perfect. good luck!

If you want to know who her photographer was, just look at her profile. I'm so sorry for your troubles with them!!!

Re: future brides please DON'T

The amount of money or even what is in your contract will not change the photos that you get the day of your wedding. I feel awful that your photos turned out the way they did. You can never get those moments back. Didn't the company fire the photographer in question? If so, I suggest you ask them to re-shot some of your photos. Get dressed again and go get some good photos! This is awful.

Re: future brides please DON'T

Michelle, I think I made that as a suggestion to her, a GF of mine did exactly that. The fool of a photographer that she had missed so many key shots and the company had them dress up another day and do some shots over.
